Would you buy used baby toys?
I have an 8 month old baby and I was looking at baby toys on e-bay.
Would you buy used baby toys for your baby/toddler?
I would buy plastic toys I could put in the dishwasher or wash with warm soapy water before giving to her.

its a good way to get them cheap.
inspect for broken parts, and clean them!
spray with lysol for hard toys, and wash whatever you can twice in the hottest water it can take
I was just considering one of the huge lots of baby toys on ebay. But I don’t have 100 bucks to fork out at the moment.
We’ve taken hand me downs and bought some at garage sales…just make sure all the parts are there and you clean them well
No, babies put everything in their mouth. You never know what you could be getting…even if it seems clean. I would just spend a few extra dollars and buy new.
If its plastic then yes! All germs can be cleaned off with a good washing with the safe for baby Clorox wash or just soap and water. I would not however get stuffed animals/toys because they harbor a lot of germs inside. You can wash and dry them but usually they don’t do too well. Usually if your child gets a stuffed toy dirty or puts it in his mouth often you should get rid of it due to germs. I would say go ahead and get used toys…they will save lots of money in the long run and seriously…kids don’t play with them that long before they are on to the next thing.
of course, if the price is reasonable, just make sure you use clorox wipes
Toddler yes (when they are less apt to stick things in their mouth), but for a young baby probably not for me. I’m weird like that
The best place to but toys would be once upon a child, they sell toys that people owned but never opened. Its a good place to buys childrens toys at a cheap price and not have to pay an expensive price.
I would be really really picky with second hand toys, making sure to sterilize them beforehand, in bleach water then boiled or washed if possible. The open pan of boiling water for new toys is something I do for new toys anyways. Make sure all second hand toys are still in tact and can not be chewed into peices or pulled apart easily!
Absolutely! My mom buys my son toys that are listed on the electronic bulletin board where she works all the time. If it’s hard plastic it gets a good wipe-down with clorox wipes. and if it’s soft, it goes in the washer and dryer. He has got so many toys that look absolutely brand new…better than spending a fortune on something he might not even play with! Go for it!
It’s not a good idea to buy used toys. Some things we can use from others. but baby matter is sensetive.
yes i would and i have. my baby is barely 7 months and ive been sometimes buying used toys for a while now. as long as they are washable its not gonna hurt them.
yeh its fine just make sure u wash well and sterilise.
