clothes are all made for one type of child. And there is no one type of child. Since my daughter was 1, pants never fit her. She was too skinny. I had to sew them all in the waist. She is now 8 and still I have to get adjustable waist pants. I would get her a size bigger, and hem them up. That may work great in for your daughter, and than she can still wear cute pants:)
Just buy bigger and take the hems up and do it that way.
My daughter has the opposite and she is too skinny even for the skinny stuff, so, I have her in smaller sizes but the length is too short for her. So, I have learned to tuck in and buy her appropriate size because of it.
It is about making adjustments for the kids.
My boy is very skinny but tall, so I have been buying him these pants from Target that have pull tabs on the inside to tighten the waist to fit him.
You could try to go up a size in these pants that way she can grow into them.
Just hem the length.
If you can’t sew – it doesn’t really matter. They make this hem tape that all you need to do it fold the pants under and iron them…the tape does all the work!
Good luck!
Try JC Penny’s – they have off sizes and kids clothes in X sizes – longer with adjustable waist band.
buy one size bigger and have them hemmed for shortening the length.my son’s waist is really small but he is tall so i have your problem in the otherway
This may cost a little money but it will be worth it so that she can wear jeans. Go to a tailor and get her measured. Of course you may not find clothes for her exact measurements but you can take the clothes back to that same tailor and get them adjusted. However, if you can do it yourself this will save you some money. Don’t get frustrated, she will be wearing jeans before you know it. I hope this helps or some of the other suggestions you will receive.
You might try looking for half or pus sizes. I have found online sites for stores normally carry half or plus sizes more then the stores. Here is the exact site I went to http://www.landsend.com/pp/ElasticWaistBootCutJeans~173140_1186.html?bcc=y&action=order_more&sku_0=::DIN&CM_MERCH=SRCH_00001&origin=search
do you have a place called carters or a place called Osh gosh? Osh Gosh has stuff for bring kids. and they fit big too good luck.. Dont get stuff from target (my daughter is too have a little extra weight.) Taraget does not fit her at all but we got to walmart and she fits into 3or4t just fine. a little long but its fine (she is all legs not sure were she got that from) oh and a place called Kohl’s (nice store) has really nice stuff and there cloths fit her really good. good luck if you need more info or just want to talk e-mail me at peppermintpatty200404@hotmail.com.. good luck
I have the same problem! my little one is 3 also and she wears a size 6. I try and buy the capri pants because they are the length of regular pants for her and they fit well around her. I also look for pants that dont look like stretchy pants but have an elastic waist! those seem to work really well….rolling up the bottoms can be done if nessisary also.
btw….my daughter eats SUPER healthy, no processed foods, or even juices or milks…..she eats mostly organic and whole grains with lots of fruits and veggies…..I am perplexed as to why she is so chunky…..I blame dishonest formula companies who dump MSG in formula! …if only I knew then what i know now!!!!!!!
Fitting a child is difficult. Plus or half sizes don’t start until you are out of the toddler sizes 4-6x. The adjustable waist can be helpful. Suggest trying brands that run big like children’s place, or carters
I find these brands/stores to run small old navy, sonoma, arizona, sears, target, walmart
It seems no matter what size or shape a child is they have trouble getting fitted. Myself I was too tall, and the waist was big, oldest son is too thin, middle son is too heavy and short, 3rd son is too thin etc.
JCPenney’s has plus sizes for little girls (I have a niece with the same problem).
