You can use stencil, go to art supply shop and buy stencil that suit your ribbons and use acrylics or fabric paint to paint on, it is cheap and reusable..
Do you mean award-type ribbons, or just printed grosgrain ribbons to tie packages and things like that?
If you mean printed grosgrain, you can use your inkjet printer at home. Attach the ribbon to computer paper by running a strip of double-stick runner adhesive (like Stampin’ Up!’s SNAIL adhesive) on the paper, then pressing your grosgrain ribbon onto the adhesive. It will stick well enough to get the ribbon through your printer, but you’ll still be able to pull the ribbon off the paper after it’s printed.
Here’s the key for lining things up…
Print your words on a regular sheet of computer paper first. Then put the adhesive right over the printed words, attach your ribbon, then put the same sheet back through the printer. The printer will print in the same place–right on your ribbon.
