From all the books that I have read, they all recommend that you keep the crib free and clear of all blankets, pillows and stuffed animals until the baby is one year old. Personally, I think that as long as your child can lift his or her head and can roll over from front to back and back to front that it would be okay.
It’s up to you. I usually just go by the rule that if they can hold their head up on their own, they can have a blanket.
If you feel uneasy about it, then take that as a warning. If you feel comfortable letting her sleep with it, then let her sleep with it.
Now I let my baby have a small blanket when she was a newborn just make sure its not where she can suffocate herself and she should be okay.
That’s hard to say… its a choking hazard but then again its a comfort to your baby. there is nothing in my baby’s crib.. at least no near her head. I have a blanket tucked in all around the top of it so she can smell me when shes sleeping ( that’s the only way she will sleep) I think that if shes able to move it around at 3 months so that if she does start to choke on it she will be able to move it but i don’t know many babies that could think like that. I think it would be better for you to just keep doing what your doing. Good luck!!
if she can roll over or lift her head… she is probably old enough to sleep with a blanky as long as there isnt alot of other bedding in her crib
I would wait about 2 more months for that one. Just wake up a little bit before her and put it back in her crib.
My daughter LOVED sleeping with her blankie. I would roll it up real tight and put it next to her cheek, that way she could have it close to her and it wasn’t covering her face.
As long as it isn’t "fluffy" it should be OK, particularly if she can roll over both ways on her own. I think I know the exact toy you are talking about, I have one. I would try to find a similarly satiny blanket instead as I think a blanket is safer than a stuffed toy.
Ultimately though you know your child best. Is she likely to end up with it covering her face? Will she end up jammed in a crease with it under her face? (Will it effect her breathing in some way). Do what you think is best.
