My son is 3.5 months old and he has always slept with a blanket. I actually learned the tuck it in trick from my hospital nurse the day he was born because he hated being swaddled! When he goes in his co-sleeper he gets a blanket over him up to his chest and the sides and bottom get tucked under the mattress so it doesn’t move with him. It has never been an issue for us.
Well my daughter is 2 months and half months old. she has always slept with a blanket. Not covering her face ofcourse. But since your son is a year old i could see that you might be concerned with a blanket, and since i only have a 2 month old i dont have the best advice for you.
You could try out with a little sheet, tuck it all around him and leave his arms outside of the sheet. That should be okay. Just check on him from time to time to see how he is with it. Then once you see he is fine with it you could but a heavier blanket on him.
Gd luck
My baby is two and half months old and has always slept with a blanket. I figure that if I’m cold at night and need a blanket than the baby does whether he’s wearing footie pajamas or not.
my son was the baby that needed to be swaddled from new born to 5 months then grew out of it he started sleeping in his crib from 2 months old so really he has always had a blanket to swaddle him then we when he grew out of it we still continued to give him a blanket he is 9 months now..they say as long as they can oll over and back then it should be fine my son also has 4 stuffed animals in his crib at the bottom he talks and plays with them when he wakes up in the morning till i come get him
