whats wrong with people and teens?
doesnt it seem like people in the US seem to be greedy.it seems like they dont really care about anyone about themselves.im just talking about the majority,they seem to live in a materialistic world.if they can afford it they dont give to charity,they dont go on mission trips and they dont VOLUNTEER and they dont do much else except listen to their ipods and buy designer clothes.of course they do other things but not much.those are just a couple of things that they do-also im talking about a lot of teenagers-not all of them but did you know that 1 out of every 24 teenage girls will have babies in the next year?-they are getting pregnant and are just dumb.they drink and drive and do drugs and SOME DO THESE THINGS NOT ALL-what do you think on this matter and why are people so selfish?
i am not trying to be prejudice but im an american and i hate it here.why i live its materialistic.also for the lady that had a child at 17 im not being mean im just talking about the people that dont mean to get pregnant and that are foolish and dont use protection.ok?besides if you do do it and get pregnant that is pretty foolish because if you think about the consequences its bad.thats all i can say.

Im a teen, and Ithink that people that are like that are just plain stupid. There is plenty of time to act like an adult, when they are aadults. Geez/
tis the parents fault….and the spider monkies they smoke…no shame i tell you! No proper guidance, weren’t taught to have goals or achieve anything worthwhile.
first , I try to only worry about myself and my kids…I dont worry about other people , because I cant change anyone but me..so why waste the energy…..I try to live a good life…cant make others ….free society and all……just pray for em…hope they have a happy life…hope you have a happy life … relax…smell the roses…vote republician…lol….peace
please stop judging people not everyone is like that. and about the drugs some people have to sell drugs just so they can put food on the table for their family every night…..
I am American and I agree with you. Americans can beso selfish that is why we are not getting along with some countries. I live in aq riich community and if you aren’t wearing ugly hollister clothes or american eagle you aren’t in. I say to those people GET OVER YOURSELFS PLEASE!
Not everyone is completely selfish. I’m somewhat poor and still donate to the Humane Society! I’ve given my last couple of dollars to strangers, and food and clothing to the homeless. I do as much as I can. As for others, I don’t know. As for teenagers? How they were raised plays a big part of how they act. Peer pressure, too.
I used to deliver pizza and the trailer parks would tip me better than the million dollar home neighborhoods…no bologna. Someone once said, "well, they didn’t get rich by tipping big." True, but that stinks. I always tip well.
it’s a little unfair to say teens don’t do very much. sure, plenty of them do stupid things and don’t volunteer and such, but most teens actually work hard, between school and sometimes work. and some teens do work for their community. i’m a teen and i’ve done plenty of volunteer work (at a horse rescue, at the food bank once). and it is true that some girls get pregnant young, and it’s stupid and selfish, but some girls want the attention, and some don’t think about the consequences of having ‘fun’ with their boyfriend. but as a whole, most teens are just doing their thing and they’re not getting into any major trouble. you’re thinking about a relatively small amount of them.

People are selfish, I can be guilty of it myself. It starts when we are young when we see everyone trying to act like they are better then you and always trying to get over on you. So we learn to defend ourselves by also being that way. I think if you want to be good, then do it the best you can and try not to let the hate get you down.
In this generation teens seem to want freedom from their parents. They want to be themselves, but as a teen it is hard to do that with so many changes throughout us. They dont want to volenteer because they are either too busy doing homework (like me) or too selfish to do it.
I will NOT be one of the teenage girls to have a baby in the next year, by the way. And it takes TWO to have a baby. Everybody wants to be on top, so children learn this themselves, and become selfish as they grow up. Hopefully this trend will end in the US.
Whoa what America do you live in? Because I remember all the times we have had the first boots on the ground after any natural disaster all around the world. America feeds most of the world. We give away food even to our enemies like N. Korea so they don’t starve to death. At the height of the cold war, we helped the Russians feed their people. When the tsunami devastated parts of Asia, our volunteers were there first. My wife and I volunteer now and then at a soup kitchen in a town about 30 miles from where we live.. we had to get on a WAITING LIST to volunteer because they have more helpers than they can use. Sure some people are greedy, most are not. Lots of teens are self serving, but that has always been the case. United Way, Red Cross, American Cancer Society… the list goes on and on and these places are funded by donations from so called greedy people. Our gov’t is screwed up right now but the American people by and large are people with open hearts and open wallets. As far as mission trips.. missionaries do more harm than good. Better to join the Peace Corps or some non religious group… which by the way Americans do in the thousands. Drs. Without Borders is another example of people who are well off but volunteer time and energy and hard work in bad places.
Thank you so much for being so prejudice against Americans. As an American I am deeply offended by your remarks. Slamming an entire country because you have READ???? or HEARD???? crap that happens is nothing more than a racist remark against an entire country. There are many Americans that volunteer and many that give to charities. There are also many in the US that don’t have the money for IPods, are barely putting enough food on the table to feed their family or have no job because of the rising unemployment in the country. Every country has people that do not make their country proud including yours. To slam an entire country the way you are shows you are among the arrogant and ignorant in yours.
Well thank you for pretty much talking crap about me.. I became a mother at the age of 17 and honestly it was the best thing that EVER happened to me.
Anyways… Kids will be kids.. they will grow up eventually. When you were a teenager you weren’t selfish?? You didn’t do anything wrong, you always followed the rules?? If you did.. you are an exception.
Well the greedy part i think its just survival of the fittest,(or in this case the wealthiest).Sad to say a good heart is not going to get you to far in this world.The world revolves around money wat makes it even more sadining is its just a peice of paper…And i think people rely on materialistic things to make themselfs feel better and hide their insecurities..Most pple just like to fit in and be apart of something and if its "in"their definatly going to get it..i think its a lack of self esteem and confidence.Also i am a teen myself, the thing with 1 out of 24 teen girls being pregnant,well just because they are gettin pregnant dosent mean they plan it,i actually highly doubt most teen parents planned on havin a baby at this age.But you know sh*t happens..condoms break,girls being rapped etc. And also for the drinkin and driving and doing drugs part you cant just point all that at teenagers.MANY adults drink and drive also and MILLIONS of pple do drugs not just teens. Like i said it survival of the fittest not necceraly being selfish just doin what you got to do. But i understand where your coming from.
