For stained items like onsies and such, .25 cents.
For nice onesies 50 cents to a dollar.
For pants, 50 cents to dollar.
For nice outfits depending on condition 2- 5 dollars.
For outer gear like snowsuits and jackets – around 5 dollars depending on condition.
Socks- 4 – 5 pair for a dollar.
Shoes- 1-3 dollars depending on condition as well as style.
Hats- 1 dollar
People go to rummage sales for deals, and usually leave empty handed when they find everything to be overpriced.
I wouldn’t buy baby clothes at a garage sale, and once I’m done having kids, my baby clothes will be either going to friends or to charity.
I dont buy baby clothes at garage sales but when we have a garage sale i usually sell baby clothes at .25 per piece and bigger stuff like jackets and dresses at .50 – $1.
I usually buy clothes from .25 cents to $1.00 anything above that unless its like a 3 piece is expensive for me.
i think .50-.75 for dresses and things, but .25 for onesies…
onesies are are cheapest i’d say 50 cents a piece and then any sets are more expensive. it also has to go by quality. If you are looking to sell you should go to once apon a child.. you would get alot more for your money. You can also buy clothes from there and trade.
Depends on the condition and brand name. I’d pay a few dollars for a nice outfit with a good brand name in good shape, a bit more for something like a winter coat. I would not buy anything with stains or tears. For single items like jeans or t-shirts I probably wouldn’t pay over a dollar each.
I am having a garage sale this weekend and baby clothes are going for .50 a piece. Onesies and hats, 25 cents. shoes – depending on the condition $1.50 or less. All of my stuff is in really good condition, and whatever doesn’t sell is going to goodwill. The prices are comparable to what I have seen at other sales.
I would sort them into boxes or on tables by condition.
Normal, good condition pieces would be 50 cents.
Excellent condition would be $1.00.
Things that might be slightly worn condition but still usable would be 25 cents.
And I would go through and pick out any special outfits (like 3 piece outfits, fancy dresses, etc) and price those separately and according to how much I think they would be worth.
I usually just give my old baby clothes away. But if I did charge something I guess nothing more than a few dollars.
Around here, garage sales with baby and toddler clothes are a dime a dozen, so sellers who overcharge for their stuff get stuck with it!
Here’s what I’m used to paying and selling my kids’ clothes for:
Shirts: .50 – $1.00
Jeans: .50-$2.00
Sweatpants: .50
Shoes: .50 – $2.00
Light jackets: .50-$2.00
Winter coats: $2:00 – $5.00
Sleepers: .50-$1.00
Pajama sets: .50- $1.50
Pricing depends on brand name and overall condition of clothing. Stuff that is getting faded sells for less. I don’t sell or buy stuff that is stained or ripped…. goes in the garbage or is used as a rag (even thrift stores don’t want that stuff).
