And to add alot of the begginer sandals are that hard fake leather stuff. I put a sock under them to prevent them from hurting. They have crocs for babies too now i saw them at toysrus when i was there last week but they dont seem to be online.
The best thing to do is get your sons foot measured. My sons feet grew so quick he was in size 2, 3 and 4 within months. In london we have prewalk shoes in clarkes for £10 which are ideal for babies learning to walk
The M just means regular width, as opposed to wide width. If he’s wearing a size 2 now, order a 3!
Why do you want to put shoes on a baby who can’t walk? Mine never wore shoes until he was over a year old!
I bought the 9-12 mo Roobez for Jack and they are a little big right now but by the summer time he should fit in them really good, thats if I can get him to keep them on. Jack is 9 months old. I did try the Target generic brand of Roobez and they work ok, they are alot cheaper too.

kinda like these
I wouldn’t worry about it. I would go straight to clown shoes.
Take him to Stride Rite and have his foot measured. Look around and pretend you cannot find anything you like. Then you will know what size shoe he needs. I have to buy my son’s shoes from Stride Rite because they have wide feet but I have seen several people come in just for the measurement.
Fancy Wal-Mart store bought shoes are WAY overrated. I’ve found that duct-tape and car-board (for the soles) works great! Now that there are so many colors of the tape my kid can have a new pair of shoes every week. Plus, since he can take them off, he never looses them!
Is there a Stride Rite close to you? That’s where I take my son, he has a tricky foot, and they always manage to find a good pair of shoes for him. They also had all kinds of sandals to choose from. Or I think you can print a foot measurement thing off on the computer… or if worse comes to worse slip in a shoe store find a measurement thing and measure his feet yourself!
If he wears a 2 get a 2-Target infant/toddler shoes are sized no differently than any other baby shoes. Those sandals are adorable!
EDIT: Lol, how can someone give thumbs down on a question about baby shoes?
