What exactly is an anchor baby according to cons?
Cons want anchor babies deported. But what exactly is an "anchor baby"? What if the anchor baby has legal relatives, just not legal parents? Deporting anchor babies would open up a legal whole can of worms. Be careful what you wish for.

An anchor baby is a person whose parents purposefully cross into the US to drop their offspring on our soil so it has US citizenship.
Do those legal relatives have custody of the child? Then the child gets to stay. If the illegal parents have custody, then it gets deported.
Not much of a can of worms there. Like everything else with a child, you look at who has legal custody.
An anchor baby is just what it sounds like. They purposely come over to have us pay for the delivery of their child, so that by the child being born on US soil, somehow thinks it gives them citizenship too.
why all the concern from the liberals over anchor babies? You support aborting them anyway.
If they have legal relatives, fine – they can stay – parent go.
If not, they all go back and parents will have to have get child mexican citizenship, or dual citizenship and they can come back when they are legal.
I guess you wish to pay for their education and Obamacare with your tax dollars
So if an illegal immigrant has legal relatives here they can stay..
What a stupid premise.
Anchor babies are illegal too.
An anchor baby is a baby who was born in the United States and thus is an American citizen, not a citizen of Mexico or any other country in the world. They are born to mothers who are in this country illegally.
