A friend of mine miscalculated her due date and her shower was held the day after she delivered! We rescheduled it for a few weeks later and we had a meet the baby party. The baby was passed around and was the guest of honor….
The wording on the invites went something like this.
On May 15, 2008 we had a baby shower planned for Tabitha Smith, but the weather didn’t corporate. Tabitha’s baby James has since joined the world. We would still like to honor Tabitha for her pregnancy and new baby and we are throwing a shower for her post birth. Please join us in honoring Tabitha on August XX, 2008 At X place.
June has come and gone, shouldnt you have already postponed it?
Im sorry, the question was weird for me. i took it as wording a casual drop, in a baby shower invite….not drop-in..lol no biggy, but thanks for the thumbs down..
All you have to say is baby shower for so and so, on such in such day…please feel free to drop-in between such in such a time.
How about:
The floods are gone, but the baby is here!
Please join us a we welcome (insert name) to the world
(Party details)
I don’t think you have to say anything about it being casual or "drop-in"….if you really don’t care about how many people come, you can either leave an rsvp off the invite or just put regrets only….
