We got ours at Baby Depot (part of Burlington Coat Factory). The same one at Babies R Us cost a bunch more!
Target has lots of reasonably priced baby stuff, too.
BabiesRUs….you know they are up to code and safe. Also pretty reasonable in price considering you only need it for a couple of years.
Baby’s R us
If you don’t want to spend alot, go to Target or Walmart.
we bought ours, a jenny lind brand, online at a usababy store.
We bought ours at walmart for $150.
Unless you are filthy rich, don’t bother buying a $600 model. The baby won’t care how much it costs.
Our mattress cost $40, but I would recommend investing more money in a good thick one.
burlington coat factory… slightly cheaper same products as babies r us and target
we are looking at two different cribs one at babies r us and the other is a USA Baby!
they were the ones we like the best
I’ll tell you what I was looking for. I wanted a bed that had a side that lowered because I am very short and knew that the ones with the stationary sides weren’t going to work for me when the mattress needed to be lowered. I also wanted a bed that didn’t require both hands to open the baby bed because I would have to figure out how to hold the baby and use both hands. I’m not that talented!
I shopped around and ended up buying from BabiesRUs. They aren’t the cheapest place in town, but they had what I wanted and they have great customer service. My bed has one side that lowers by pressing your leg into it. It’s awesome! I don’t risk waking my daughter up just to put her into bed. The railing that lowers can be removed and the bed becomes a "toddler" bed. I do believe that the stationary side could be turned into a full size bed headboard, but you have to purchase the railings separately. The mattress should be a pretty snug fit and most of the ones made are about the same size. It should be pretty firm, too, to help prevent SIDS.
JCPenny.. I bought my all in 1 nursery.. really nice
Got mine from kmart. Has a side that lowers by pushing your leg into it turns into twin bed. I like it and it wasn’t that expensive!!
you want something that is approved first of all with the right size space between the slats on the crib and all that jazz, depending on your space situation you might want something that is a space saver like i have, my son sleeps in our room with us so the crib we bought is an all in one crib it has the crib with the changing table and dresser all attatched to it, and let me tell you its very nice, its also a 4 in 1 it changes to a toddler bed, a day bed and a full size bed and dresser as my son gets older. we payed 200 dollars for it but i absolutely love it. We got our crib from wal mart but they also have them at target babies r us anywhere really depending on your money situation you can always find something on sale they have baby days usually in the summer time at wal mart where they have cribs on sale for like 100 dollars and such you just really have to shop around get an idea of what kind of crib you want, quality and color, and then go from there i will post some web sites at the bottom of this for you to help you out. goodluck!!
Baby Bedding Town seems to be the number one place on the Internet (Google). They also are based in California, so they may have offices there.
