What are some fun prizes to give at baby showers?
I am throwing an Around-the-Clock baby shower for my cousin. I have some fun games picked out and even a few prize ideas, but I really want to stick to the theme and get prizes that go along with it! So can you please give me adult prize ideas for the following….
Changing Time
Dressing Time
Feeding Time
Playtime Time
Bath Time
Bed Time
(Please also remember I don’t have tons of money)

Having themed prizes will take lots of time and effort.
I would go for more of a "general" prize for the games.
Examples of prizes I’ve given at showers:
Popcorn/Movie basket – Microwave popcorn, popcorn salt, popcorn butter, movie (a chick flick), candy bars, all in a popcorn bowl.
Potpourri basket – A wicker basket with two or three potpourri bags (assorted scents).
Photo album set – Various sizes and styles of photo albums.
Photo frame set – Set of two or three photo frames that match.
Lotion set – Set of vanilla or sea breeze scented lotions, bath gels, soaps.
Scrapbook set – Scrapbook paper, scissors, stickers, and glue sticks all in a clear bag.
Sick days basket – Everyone gets sick every now and again. I made a basket of chicken noodle soup, tissues, cough drops, day and night time cough syrup, aspirin, and sinus tablets.
Beauty set – Lip glosses, hair ties, combs/brush, lotion, make-up all in a basket.
Liquor set – Rum and Coke or tequila and mixers in a basket with a few glasses.
Kitchen set – Cookbook, bake pans, oven mitt, salt and pepper shakers, spices, spatulas.
Coffee and cream – Coffee grounds, coffee mug, creamer and a lotion bottle.
Cookies and cream – assorted cookies in a basket with lotion.
Candy Set – basket will assorted chocolates and sweets.
BBQ Set – basket with a BBQ cookbook, grille mitt, grille cleaning brush, marinade, and BBQ sauce.
Bake set – Cookie sheet, cake pan, oven mitt, spatula, brownie mix, mixing bowl.
Also, try this idea….
Don’t wrap the gift or hide it in a gift bag. Wrap it in clear basket bags (you can get them at your local dollar store usually). Put a pretty curling ribbon on the bag. Describe each prize BEFORE you start the games. Allow the guests to see the prizes, and they can pick out their own prize when they win. It will get them excited about the games and also this will ensure that no one leaves with a useless gift that they will end up giving to someone else later!!
Getting several gifts for each prize will allow you to award prizes for a tie.
Prizes can be inexpensive, but they can also add up when you want to get quality prizes for the shower. Make a list of the games. For each game, you should have two prizes. (example: you will be playing 3 games at the shower, you should have 6 prizes). If you have prizes left over after the games, do a drawing for the "left overs". Ask a friend or relative involved in the planning to be responsible for getting one or two of the prizes. This will alleviate some of the cost for you!!
Have a great time at the shower!
Sorry, I have to talk with Sandra, who gave her baby up for adoption & is depressed…You really need to talk to someone who can help you with your depression. You did a good thing by giving your baby for adoption instead of terminating the pregnancy. You’ve given your baby & its adoptive parents the gift of love. Be proud of what you’ve done and get the help you need to be happy.
