Too many clothes?
Anyone else feel like a girl should have a lot of clothes. I am mainly talking about infants and toddlers, but really any age. I know I love clothes, and I have a son and daugther. With my daughter I go crazy but boy stuff isnt as cute. How much does a little girl really need, or is it ok to have enough to always have something different to wear. I feel like all my money is going for her stuff, but its an addiction I just want her to be stylish.

Ya, my mom keeps buying things for my daughter and she isn’t even born yet!!! That little girl has more clothes than me!
They’ll grow out of it and then you can give it away.
I have the same problem
Girls stuff is way cuter!!
I love the boutique brands like Lipstik and Little Mass for toddlers. All the ruffles and bows…and then the hair bows!! I have a boy and another on the way and it’s a real challenge to find cute stuff for boys. But, now that my older one is getting into toddler clothes it’s getting easier.
My son’s wardwrobe was an addiction for me. Just trying to find something cute, and when I did…I usually bought the line in bulk. Like Gymboree’s Days of Yesteryear…and Janie and Jack (what isn’t cute there?)…
If you enjoy giving your child clothes, then go for it. Don’t worry about what others think. And you can always donate those stylish clothes once your kids grow out of it. Have fun!
sounds like this is about you- not your daughter. and one observation- sooner or later your son is going to notice that you "love" his sister more than him. it may not be true, but he will see it that way. back off on your daughters clothes, and spend your money on outings or toys for BOTH of your kids.
maybe you should spend less time, energy, and money into making her "stylish" and put the money into her college fund.
they grow out of it fast don’t waste your money
are you kidding me ! you sound like your about 12.
There is a thing as having too many clothes. I would suggest buying some great "staples" such as jeans and a few sweaters and of course a couple pairs of shoes. Children shouldn’t have too many clothes as they do not wear them enough to get the full use out of them. I would suggest investing in pieces from places like llbean and landsend-buying them slightly bigger especially coats etc so you get two years out of them. Also, if you have an older child buy simple colors (blue, red) so the items can be passed down.
With the extra money you would save put some away for there college and the rest for your retirement….there’s no need to go overboard!
personally as I have 2 boys…i think boys clothes are cuter. I don’t know what to buy when i shop for my neice…but I love having my boys. I dress them in camo and cute stuff like that.
