I was just curious about when other mothers started taking their babies out in public. My daughter is three weeks and one day and I am going to take her out tomorrow to Wal-Mart for the first time.
And will putting a thin blanket over the car seat or stroller help?
I see lots of mothers doing this and was just wondering if it helps at all?

I will buy clothes from thrift stores, Wal-Mart, whatever, but I always said I wouldn’t scrimp on well-made shoes for my kids. I have bunions from years of wearing cheap shoes, and I don’t want my kids to have such problems.
Lately, though, we are tightening our belt, and kids’ shoes are expensive. Target has really cute shoes for a great price. I have a pair of their women’s shoes, and they are perfectly comfy. Are their kids’ shoes well-made enough that they will not damage my kids’ feet?

Where to find baby bathing suit at this time of the year?
Since it is almost winter I’m having a real hard time finding swim wear for my baby girl. I looked on ebay but I want more options. Went to Gymboree and the children’s place and Wal MArt and Target, no success!!! Do you have any suggestions on where else I can look?
Thanks!

I am looking for Gerber training pants….NOT the water proof ones!!! But I need a lot of them! A six pack would be nice, a twelve pack would be even better!!!
My little man gets these up and down by himself a lot easier than regular little boy underwear.
The Wal-Mart here only carries the three pack, and they are always out of the size 2T!!!

My daughter will be 2 in July and I am thinking about getting her another diaper bag, hers in getting pretty worn out-was a cheap wal-mart diaper bag! My question is, is she to old for a diaper bag? i usually keep diapers, wipes, change of clothes, and tons of snacks for when we go out. I found these bags at the mall that you can personalize with the childs name on them, I was just wondering if she was getting to old for one? how old is your toddler and do you have a diaper bag for them, what do you keep in it? thanks for all your help!!

I looked at Wal-Mart and they are all huge. I’m only 4 mths but I know I’m growing a stomach I can’t fit into my jeans anymore lol. I did find some nice cheap maternity clothes at a store around here called Ross, but they all look more like dressy clothes than every day clothes. All I’m looking for is some jeans that i can wear as every day. Can someone tell me where I can find something like that? Every website I looked at on the internet w/ Maternity clothes has jeans at like no less than 40 dollars and I don’t want to pay that much for a pair of jeans that I’m only going to be wear for 5 more mths.
Well in pants it depends before I was pregnant I was anywhere between an 11 and a 13. But now who knows. I did buy a pair of pants that were XL but not no number sizes for maternity.

Nothing expensive. What are some stores that have large selections of nice maternity clothes? I’m looking for a dress for my baby shower. Target surprisingly didn’t have that much of a selection, Sears even more surprisingly, had even less. I’ve also checked Wal-Mart & K-Mart, not that much there either.

Marking out Delia’s, Wal-Mart, and Target, please tell me where I can find a good hoodie. Don’t spout out random stores, tell me somewhere you’ve seen some.
