I’ve never really had a baby shower….I was 18 and no one was really excited when my son was born, a few family members here and there bought me things, but no shower. My twin boys were born in 07, I work in a hospital, no shower there, but my church gave me a small shower (6 people including the pastor, his wife, me, and hubby.) My family bought things here and there for them and we bought the rest.This baby is a girl, I’m almost 20 weeks, and tend to have preemies at 34-35 weeks, so I don’t even know when would be the best time to have one. She is due January 24th. Of course, I don’t want to ask someone to throw me a shower, but is it wrong to wish to have one? I think every baby should have one, whether it is the first, 4th, or 10th! I don’t have much for a girl besides some clothes I have bought. I still need nursery furniture/bedding since my twins still use theirs and a few other things, but I definitely don’t want to be greedy!

I just had twin boys that are now 5months old. The twins are extremely good looking, smart, and well behaved. Everyone is in awe when they first meet them and always say they’re the cutest babies they have ever seen. This leads me to think that they could get into modeling or acting, and maybe even become famous like the olson twins. So, what should I do to give them the best opportunity to get into this field? (Please no why would you want to make them famous comments)

I had twin boys seven months ago and am still 20 lbs from my pre-baby weight! When I had singletons, by this time I was back to my usual size. (I gained about double with the twins than what I gained with singletons.) Just wondering what you guys think–should I get rid of my pre-baby stuff or keep it around just in case I get back to my old size? I could consign it and maybe get some $$$.

My daughter in law just gave birth to twin boys. Each is only a bit over 3 lbs. Baby clothing is really expensive. I checked out preemie clothing on the Internet and some little outfits sell for .50 plus!
Are they easy to sew? I used to sew but couldn’t find preemie patterns on the Internet either.

Does anybody have suggestions on how to buy/make inexpensive preemie clothing?

I have 22 month twin boys. My daycare has required that my boys drink from a regular cup before they can move from the "young toddler" room to the "toddler room". I never even thought about giving the boys regular cups yet. Just wondering what the norm is.

I have twin boys and need to protect them from the fireplace and other items. I am thinking of making some out of round pvc piping and putting padding around the piping as well. The store bought gates are insanley expensive! I figure the material is cheaper at Lowes or Home Depot and can build quite a few.

The family lives in the Dallas/Fort Worth, TX area. They have a daughter that is six and will need some assistance also like with homework or being driven to activities. They also want light housekeeping. The main part is the newborn twin boys, for which they want a live-in nanny.

I have a college degree and have about two years childcare experience. So, what is reasonable?

I have twin boys and they are starting to walk and I want them to start wearing soft soled shoe. I don’t want to spend on shoes that they are going to out grow in a few months. Anyone know where you can get cute ones but not brake the bank? I’ve looked on ebay but after you pay for shipping you are paying more than what they are worth. Thanks!

I have 2 1/2 year old twin boys who are basically wearing 3T clothes. Most 2T jeans still fit. But I am about to get custody of my 2 year old niece and a friend passed along a bag of clothes for me to get her started off with. Alot of them are size 3T, but compared to my boy’s clothes, they look smaller. Are toddler girls clothes made smaller than toddler boys clothing? Or is it just the brand of the clothing? I know certain brands do run a little smaller with my boys clothes. But I didnt’ know if they made girls clothes differently.
