Is there anywhere to buy double wide shoes for kids?
My 2 year old wears a 6 double wide. And the only place I’ve been able to find shoes is Stride Rite but I would like to be able to shop at more than just one place.
No TD’s from me

My daughter is 15 mos. old. I had her feet measured at Stride Rite and the sales person said she is 4.5 which is a 6-12 mos. in PediPeds. I was at Carter’s and bought her some winter boots size 5, but they are pretty big on her. I’m confused about the sizing. Could I have gotten her a big girl size 5? If so, these boots don’t see to be that big. When do the sizes start at 1 again?
my son has wide feet and the only place i found shoe that are wide for little boys is stride rite. does anyone know anywhere else.
thanks
My son is 15 months and growing out of his shoes so I’ve been hunting around for new ones with no luck. The ones he’s been wearing for the past 6 months were from babyGap and I just loved them.

I was wanting to get soft soled shoes this time, but have found that they all have patterns/seem too busy. I just want something that’s plain brown (and a plain black pair as well for Christmas) …and am open to hard soles as well. I loved his last pair because he would wear them as everyday shoes but they also paired fine with his church clothes. Any suggestions appreciated– preferably not too pricey though ![]()
I hadn’t thought of Lands’ End yet, thank you!
Stride Rite seems to be the consensus
I’ll give them a look.. thanks!
My son is just now starting to pull up and stand. I have him in just a soft sole pre-walk shoe from walmart. I was wondering if it is a necessity to have the "walking" shoes such as from stride rite (ya know 50 bucks a pop) or if just any shoe that fits from walmart, target, etc is sufficent? I did not know how having them helps or doesnt help their walking or whatnot? Basically asking if these are a must have or if babies walk fine without them??
the ones i mean from stride rite are prewalkers, lil jamie is the name, but my baby already can walk alone, but still most of the time on our hands, are those prewalkers the right ones for when he already can walk?
I want to buy some shoes for my daughter. I was thinking Stride Rite but someone offered to sell me a pair of Ecco shoes.
They seem very stiff. I’ve read that you should buy flexible shoes for toddlers.
Are Ecco shoes good for baby?
by himself but still holds our hands pretty often. i heard i should get soft shoes, but are the stride rite soft enough, until now he had the robeez booties for when he walked on our hand.
please help, how soft do they have to be??? those i saw are not as soft as the robeez, but still softer than firm ones, but not so bendable .
thanks
What are your favorite baby/toddler shoes- besides Robeez crib shoes?
We just got my son his first pair of "real" shoes-
he has worn Robeez ever since he was born and had Robeez boots this winter (soft leather). The shoes we got are Stride Rite and they’re really cute.

I’ve also looked at See Kai Run, Robeez Tredz and a couple others- but I liked these because they are cute, will go with lots of stuff- and they had them in his size. I haven’t been able to find many shoes I like in his size, even online lately!!
What are your favorite baby shoes? Why?
live life to the fullest-
I bought those for my son. I just returned them yesterday. he isn’t walking quit yet- and they just wouldn’t stay on his feet!! but i love them!!
sara- i asked what shoes you liked, not to insult the shoes i bought.
I happen to like the shoes we got for him- and MANY childrens shoes cost what Stride Rite costs.
I don’t like all of there shoes- but I DO think there are SOME cute ones. Plus, they are good for thier feet.
malwili-
i have never heard of those before. i just looked up their website and am lookiung around- super cute!!
somanynamestaken- good suggestion.
i have thought about them before, but didn’t know if they were better to get after he actually has learned to walk. he’s almost there – but not quit. I have a pair and wear them quite often- and my son’s father also has a pair he wears often too!
