I am a constant piano player and will be having a baby soon and would like to know if it is safe to have the baby in a wrap/sling while i play? How would i go about doing this? Is there a special/safe way?
Thanks in advance!

Did you go to stores and restaurants with your newborn or baby? How did you go about it? Did you use a stroller, sling or carrier/baby bjorn? When baby cried/got hungry, did you breast feed or bottle feed? When going to a restaurant did you just bring the carseat? Where did you put the carseat? Did it fit into a booth? (I have graco safe seat). Just looking for a few tips and tricks when we do decide to step out. Thanks so much!

I’m wondering what the best way for a person with an Ergo carrier to also carry an infant? Is it possible to wear 2 Ergos? Or a sling and an Ergo?
Anyone ever tried this? Thanks!
Awesome! Thanks courage!!! She seems to be looking quite comfortable with both kids like that! Exactly what I was looking for!

I’m creating a list for our mothers group. www.parents.9k.com and we have the following – please consider that many of us are on a budget and do not want to contribute to land fill (with the exception of disposal nappies/diapers)
car seat
King sized cot (that turns into a bed)
Pram
Sling or pouch (not both)
6 singlets
6 body suits
6 jumpsuits
12 socks (6 can be used as mittens)
2 normal sized towels (no baby hooded towels)
4 baby blankets (can be used as wraps in winter)
2 muslin wraps
Huggies nappies/diapers (108 box)

I am about a 2xl, xxl or an 3xl, xxxl and need a baby carrier sling wrap or whatever it’s called for my baby. What are the best brands out there for women/mommies like me?

got you through the first year or are getting you through the first year. It’s been almost ten years since my last baby and gave all of my stuff away. I know newer items (or improved) are available from ten years ago but I’m not sure what to shop for.
Things I know I’ll want are a sling or carrier (not sure of the best brand), stroller and car seat (not sure of combo or separate items), nursing accessories (cape, pillow good support bra). What do you recomend and why?

Is it easier to bathe baby in the kitchen sink. Is it harder to hold them? Also, is it sanitary? Can’t decide whether to go with kitchen sink, infant tub, sponge, or sling. Thanks!

What are the pros and cons of bathing baby in the kitchen sink. For the first week or so, I am just going to lay a folded towel on the counter and sponge bath until the umbilical cord falls off but I’m not sure what to do after that. Infant tubs are ok, but we are very limited on space. I’ve thought about using the kitchen sink (sanitizing before and after of course) but what are the pros and cons? Is it easy? I will be having a c-section, so the adult bathtub with a towel in the bottom or sling is not an option for the first 8 weeks. Thank you!

I thought this would be a fun question to post. There are lots of 1st time moms on here why not give them our pro’s and con’s of the items that worked best for us. We all have a favorite thing we would be without if we had any more babies. This is fun and lets rate one anothers answers so newbie moms can see what the cenuses is for there own shopping list. Happy parenting everyone.
I think by a large majority most of think that swings strollers and baby carriers are a huge mommy must have.
I have to say mine would be my baby carrier or sling I could use it at home or when I went out. It was great for cold or flu season I would carry my baby in public and stranges are less likely to touch all over your baby if it stapped to you. I think that the stroller would be #2 because they are so long lasting from infant to toddler mine get used alot. Thanks to everyone for your responses.

Hi
My Son is 5 years old and has just started in yr 1 at school, so this is his second year.
He did very well in school and was doing work above his age group he is a very bright button.
But he has only been back at school a week and last fiday the head teacher cam eout to me at pick up tiem and told me my son had been in her office for being very silly he had wiped glue over another childs clothes, amoungst other things not quite as bad.
She sai dthat he was on a red light as far as behaviour goes
Now today his teacher comes out of school over to my car to inform me that he is very naughty and the teachers are sick of him today he had been swinging on a little boys sling who has a broken arm and the boy was crying out in pain and my son wouldnt get off, alos he has been lashing out at other children!
I have noticed he seems a bit hiper so have changed his diet but this has not worked at all last night he woke at 3am crying for a drink and then was kicking and thrashing .
about nothing i do seems to make him realise how silly he is being i have emptied his room tonight of toys tv and play station he is gutted but i dont know what to do any help would be great!
He comes from a loving home an only child and has a mum and dad
To the person who said spank my son every night, here in the UK you can get arrested by the police for hitting kids i wouldn’t dream of doing that no child should be hit its cruel and would never work .
I cant belive that answer!
