My daughter will be 8 months old on the 19th. She can still wear newborn pants, 0-3 pants, 3-6 pants and has 1 pr of 6-9 pants that she can wear that does not fall off. She wears 6 month onesies, 6-9 or 12 month sleepers and PJ’s. Gymboree outfits she wears 3-6 month outfits and some 6-12 month BUT Gymboree swimsuit I have to get 12-18. Why are her sizes so different? Is your baby like that?

What size clothing did your baby wear when leaving? How big was the baby? I only have two premie outfits, and they’re both sleepers.. If I have an average sized baby, will 0-3 months fit him or should I take a New Born outfit? What did you dress them in? Thanks.

My baby is 4 mo. and I have never bought socks before, just use what was given as gifts etc. We live where it gets pretty cold and her little feet are cold even in sleepers sometimes. Any suggestions?

blankets, receiving blankets, and hooded towels. I have 2 kids, but they’re almost 7 & 9 so I haven’t bought baby items for quite some time!

I just found out that I’m having a boy and want to start getting some items. I have bought some sleepers and onesies and t-shirts and sweat-pants. I don’t know how much to get though of each item, for various sizes like newborn, 0-3 months, etc.

Also, I want to start getting blankets and towels. How many of each would you suggest? And if there are other items that you can suggest stocking up on (besides diapers and wipes!) I would appreciate it!

Thanks!

Once my son grew too big for infant/newborn-type sleepers, I encountered a pajama nightmare. Every single pair of pajamas I find is seemingly made to fit like a second skin. The problem? My son cannot stand them. The minute I put them on, he pulls and pulls at the sleeves and the legs in such a way that it’s obvious the tightness is uncomfortable for him. I do NOT understand the idiotic reasoning for the way these pajamas are made. Supposedly "snug fitting clothing is less likely to catch fire." (At least, that is explanation The Children’s Place gives.) Well, I’m sorry. To me, there is a difference between "snug" fitting and so tight you feel like you’re being eaten alive by a boa constrictor. Are there ANY pj’s out there for toddlers (he wears 18-24 mo clothing) that are not made this way? If so, please, please tell me where I can buy them. I would be happy to order them online, if need be. They don’t have to be loose, just loose enough that he can breathe.
A larger size means much longer legs and much longer arms. So much longer that that rolling them up is futile. I don’t sew, so I can’t hem them and I can’t even find someone where I live to hem my own pants, let alone my son’s pajamas. : ( Not a bad suggestion…I’m just saying, that hasn’t worked (buying a larger size).

How much of everything do I need?

First time clueless pregnant woman here. 31 weeks along. I had a wonderful baby shower last week, and in a couple of weeks my partner’s side of the family is throwing me another one. I am trying to update my registry, but I don’t know how much of everything I need. So far I have:

10 onesies in each size (0-3, 3-6, 6-9)
2 sleepers in each size
Misc. cutsie clothes
6 burp clothes
4 thick blankets (knitted, fleece, etc.)
0 receiving blankets (how many of those do I need?)
5 pairs of socks in each size
2 hooded towels
2 regular towels
bath tub
bumbo seat
2 sets of sheets

How much more of each of those things, and what else should I register for?

Preemie Clothing Brands?

My daughter is only 4lbs 5oz and i’m having a horrilbe time finding preemie clothes that aren’t too big, the only thing we’ve had luck with is Carter brand sleepers, other than that even preemie sizes have been way too big.
Does any one know of some really small preemie clothes!?

This is our third child, but we don’t really have anything from our previous two because we decided we were done having kids. Well, you know how it goes, after we got rid of everything, we started thinking about having another.

So now I’m 18 weeks pregnant with this baby and trying to figure out all of the absolute necessities. We got so much stuff we never used or rarely used for our other two, and not a lot of room in our apartment to store things that the baby won’t need in the first 6 months or so. Here’s my list. Please make suggestions or add things that I forgot.

Gear:
Crib
Car Seat-already have
Monitor
Stroller
Baby bath-already have
Crib bedding
Crib mattress-already have
Swing

Other:
bottles-not nursing, no judging please
binkies
receiving blankets
2-4 extra crib sheets
diapers
wipes
diaper cream
baby wash
baby powder
infant sun screen

Clothes:

Really not sure about clothes. I know babies grow fast, and I don’t want to have a lot of clothes in 0-3 month because I know he/she’ll be growing out of it in no time. So how does this sound?

0-3
10 sleepers
20 onesies
8-10 outfits
socks
hats
1 or 2 pair soft shoes

3-6
pretty much the same except maybe a few more outfits

I know I have plenty of time to figure this stuff out, but when I get something in my head, it drives me crazy until I get it sorted out.

Thanks in advance for all your answers and sorry it’s so long.
I don’t know why it would seem like I’m re-using my old car seat. I actually went and bought a new one. I’m not an idiot. I’m not going to use an almost 5 year old car seat.
