I’m experienced with buying girl things, since I have a daughter, but my mother-in-law and I are going baby shopping tonight for my unborn son. Our son is her last grandchild, so she wants to help out and spoil him as much as possible, which is very helpful to us since we have tons of expenses coming up in the next few weeks before he is born. All we have is Pink right now, and I’m not dressing my son in Pink.

Here is the list I’ve made of things to buy tonight:

Newborn Boy Snowsuit (he’s due in December)
Boy Shirts
Boy Pants
Newborn socks and Booties
Mitts
Newborn Hats
Newborn Sleepers
Diaper Shirts
Blue Flannel and Receiving Blankets
6 D-sized batteries for the swing
Hooded Bath Towels
Squirt Vaseline Container (we’re circumsizing him so the regular containers won’t be good when we have to coat his diaper with vaseline)
Shampoo
Soothers
Nightlight (for our daughter)

We have diapers coming out of our wazoo and wipes are constantly going through as well. We also already have plenty of bottles.

Is there anything on the list I should add or omit?

She already has great-grandchildren who are older than both my kids. My husband’s youngest sibling is 14 years older than he is. So because all of my husband’s sisters have had hysterectomies and most of their kids have kids of their own, they won’t be having anymore. My husband is her youngest at 28, and due to medical issues, we won’t be having anymore children after our son is born, which is why our son is her last grandchild.

I figure stores are putting dress clothes on sale since Easter is past. We dress up our son mostly every week. Only occasionally letting him wear sleepers instead. I want to stock up on baby boy dress clothes, since they’re basically only sold twice a year. Have y’all found any great deals? I’d love to know!
He’s in 12-18 month now. I’m gonna be looking at this size, and 18-24 month as well.

I need to buy fall/winter clothes for my 10 month old and am trying to decide what to buy. To tell you the truth I figure footed sleepers would be the most comfortable, and convenient for Mom and Dad because you don’t have to fool with socks. But am I "supposed to" dress him in jeans and a shirt or a jogging suit or something?

I Just wanted to post my list of things i Have for a newborn.. to like 3 months.. like clothes wise, not diapers and formula and stuff.. but then could someone tell me if i am missing a necessity or if i need more of something.. So here goes;

29 Onsies
5 Dresses
22 Pants
11 Tops/sweaters
8 gowns
3 jumpers/one pieces
15 sleepers
6 pairs of shoes lol
2 booties
1 headband
3 mittens
8 pairs of socks
3 bibs
9 hats/caps
2 hooded towels
2 receiving blankets
18 burp cloths

lol now obviously i have alot of some things, and hardly any of everything else.
Also i didnt buy any of it, my cousin gave it all to me..

So Am i missing anything or what more do i need.

My five week old is most comfortable in sleepers. Is it appropriate to dress him in one when I start taking him to day care in a few weeks, or should I dress him in outfits? What does/did your infant wear to day care.

I went out baby shopping yesterday and bought some footed bodysuits along with some regular onesies and then I realized I didn’t buy any sleepers. I am on a strict budget and since newborns grow quickly anyway I was thinking I didn’t really need them. Will the bodysuits work okay?

I was just wondering as my little bundle of joy has outgrown nearly all of her 0-3 month sleepers and onesies but can still wear her 0-3 month pants and dresses. She is a little on the short side.

My daughter will be 8 months old on the 19th. She can still wear newborn pants, 0-3 pants, 3-6 pants and has 1 pr of 6-9 pants that she can wear that does not fall off. She wears 6 month onesies, 6-9 or 12 month sleepers and PJ’s. Gymboree outfits she wears 3-6 month outfits and some 6-12 month BUT Gymboree swimsuit I have to get 12-18. Why are her sizes so different? Is your baby like that?
