Many women who want to know the sex of the baby beforehand cite the ease of shopping for gender-specific clothes and supplies as a reason. I’d like some examples of said supplies.

Really, is the child going to care if the crib is blue or pink, or if the jumper says "cutest grandson/granddaughter ever"?

Ten years ago, I had these little things that clipped onto my kids’ shoe laces to keep them from untieing them. Now I have an 18 month old that gets her shoes off faster than I can get them back on!!! Has anyone seen these recently? I have searched every shopping link I can think of, even specialty shoe stores, and have come up empty. Any help at all would be much appreciated as I don’t really enjoy my new career of re-shoeing my toddler!!! LOL Thank you!
I’ve tried ebay, amazon, shopping.com, shopzilla, and a bunch of other links I hadn’t heard of before. I have a "want it now" post on ebay and one responder said she had some called "ProKnot Junior" when her kids were small. I did a search on the name, but that didn’t come up with anything related to baby shoes. I’m out of ideas!
LOL Dav! There are days I’ve actually considered keeping a roll of Duct tape in the car!! Seems more humane than a staple gun! LOL

im going on vacation at the end of this month, i do most of my shopping online, and i need some cute clothes to wear when i go out. but im like a size 14/16, and i only work part time, and i got a baby, so i cant afford too pricey clothes.

I noticed while shopping that there was a size 2T for toddlers and some were labeled 24 months very very little to no difference. Is it just because of the brand of clothing or is there an actual difference between the sizes? Is it about the child’s mobility?

Now that I have learned some name brands on clothing/shoes (thank you very much for those that posted), time to move on to the next step. Now I need to know where to shop. I ran into Overstock.com last night and it didn’t look to bad. And shoeline.com offers free shipping. Are there any online shoppers out there that can point me in the right direction? I need to buy boy’s clothing sizes 8-20 and infants clothes (plus shoes and stuff), reasonable prices. This year I am school shopping online so I figured I better get started. Thanks again!

I’ve always been obsessed with shopping for babies because everything is just so cute! Recently, I’ve gotten interested in diaper cakes, diaper animals, sock bouquets, etc… and I’m seriously considering selling things like this. For now, I want to start a website to sell the things on (locally) but eventually, maybe I could open up a shop.

Anyone have any other craft items I could do to sell? I can’t sew, but I’m pretty crafty with putting stuff together and painting and such.

I have finally started shopping for clothes for our baby who is due March 23rd, but may come sooner due to complications. The chance the baby will be preemie is about 90%. I have hardly any shopping choices in this town, and we’re stuck with Walmart or a consignment store. I’m very happy that for I have found 9 outfits(sleepers/onesies) and I have a variety of colors since we don’t know if it is a boy or girl.
I’m reluctant to go overboard because I don’t want an abundance of green things or yellow things. So I have bought 3 things in pink, 3 in blue and 3 in green. Of course, depending on what we have, 3 of these items will not really be the appropriate color.
In your opinion, how much more should I have prepared…and should I just stay away from gender specific colors now? I have 3 sleepers, 3 onesies and 3 pant/top outfits.
Also, other then white/yellow/green, what other colors would you use as a unisex choice?

Has anyone in the YA world ever attended a JBF Just Between Friends resale event?
What was it like?

They are franchise and have sales all over the country. Huge resale events with infant to teen clothing, maternity clothing, baby gear, toys etc…

First time moms get in for free and can attend the presale shopping times.

I am super excited to attend mine after I become preggers to find some great deals.

What are your favorite baby/toddler shoes- besides Robeez crib shoes?
We just got my son his first pair of "real" shoes-
he has worn Robeez ever since he was born and had Robeez boots this winter (soft leather). The shoes we got are Stride Rite and they’re really cute.

I’ve also looked at See Kai Run, Robeez Tredz and a couple others- but I liked these because they are cute, will go with lots of stuff- and they had them in his size. I haven’t been able to find many shoes I like in his size, even online lately!!

I bought those for my son. I just returned them yesterday. he isn’t walking quit yet- and they just wouldn’t stay on his feet!! but i love them!!

I happen to like the shoes we got for him- and MANY childrens shoes cost what Stride Rite costs.

I don’t like all of there shoes- but I DO think there are SOME cute ones. Plus, they are good for thier feet.

i have thought about them before, but didn’t know if they were better to get after he actually has learned to walk. he’s almost there – but not quit. I have a pair and wear them quite often- and my son’s father also has a pair he wears often too!
