when shopping for their new baby, do you think mothers tend to buy more clothing and things for their daughter than if they had a son?

I’m due in August with my little Lily Jacklyn! I’m starting to do some shopping and I’m going to be registering for my baby showers and things soon and I’m wondering…should I really worry about buying or registering for Newborn sized clothes or should I just go ahead and get 0-3 mos.? The doctor says she’s measuring big already and all the babies in our family have between 8 and 10lbs at birth. This is my first baby but I know with my nieces and nephews they never really seemed to wear the newborn clothes and I just don’t want to spend money on something that she’s not going to wear. So any advice will be appreciated! Thanks!!!
Im doing some shopping online for baby stuff ( baby boy due May 1st) and im looking at these soft socks 0-3 months.. but im wondering if It will be too hot or if these will still work for him.. I live in Minnesota so our summers are hot but not that hot..
I got a job this summer and i have about 600 dollars saved up to go shopping for school. i want to get stuff that’s good quality but i have literally no clothes that fit anymore and im pretty cheap so i don’t like to spend a lot of money lol. what stores do you recommend?

I let my 2 and 5 year old push one each the other day…and I thought I might have to be wheeled to the insane asylum before the shopping trip ended. Plus I got shark bit twice by my 2 year old son. No fun.

Ok…im shopping online for some shoes. my girls normally wear a size five in toddler shoes! old navy has a pair that i like…but the shoe i want starts at a six! anyone know how old navy shoes fit?? here is the shoe…and i need to make sure that it is a toddler six and not a child six! any help would be nice! thanks!!

My baby is almost 3 weeks and I still haven’t taken her out in public but I really need to do some shopping and I just plain need to get out of the house! (i’ve taken her to friends houses but not like, the store or the mall)

Okay, I’m 15 and going into 10th grade. I (my mom actaully) don’t normally spend this much on clothes, but I lost some weight over the sumer and a lot of my clothes from last year didn’t fit me. Here is what I got for 0:
7 short sleeve shirts
7 long sleeve shirts
2 sweaters
2 hoodies
6 pairs of jeans
2 pairs of pants
7 pairs of socks
6 bras
7 pairs of underwear
So, that would be 46 things for 450 dollars. Do you think this is too much for back to school shopping? If you do, what would be good to spend for future back to school trips?
