I’ve always been obsessed with shopping for babies because everything is just so cute! Recently, I’ve gotten interested in diaper cakes, diaper animals, sock bouquets, etc… and I’m seriously considering selling things like this. For now, I want to start a website to sell the things on (locally) but eventually, maybe I could open up a shop.

Anyone have any other craft items I could do to sell? I can’t sew, but I’m pretty crafty with putting stuff together and painting and such.

I have finally started shopping for clothes for our baby who is due March 23rd, but may come sooner due to complications. The chance the baby will be preemie is about 90%. I have hardly any shopping choices in this town, and we’re stuck with Walmart or a consignment store. I’m very happy that for I have found 9 outfits(sleepers/onesies) and I have a variety of colors since we don’t know if it is a boy or girl.
I’m reluctant to go overboard because I don’t want an abundance of green things or yellow things. So I have bought 3 things in pink, 3 in blue and 3 in green. Of course, depending on what we have, 3 of these items will not really be the appropriate color.
In your opinion, how much more should I have prepared…and should I just stay away from gender specific colors now? I have 3 sleepers, 3 onesies and 3 pant/top outfits.
Also, other then white/yellow/green, what other colors would you use as a unisex choice?

Has anyone in the YA world ever attended a JBF Just Between Friends resale event?
What was it like?

They are franchise and have sales all over the country. Huge resale events with infant to teen clothing, maternity clothing, baby gear, toys etc…

First time moms get in for free and can attend the presale shopping times.

I am super excited to attend mine after I become preggers to find some great deals.

What are your favorite baby/toddler shoes- besides Robeez crib shoes?
We just got my son his first pair of "real" shoes-
he has worn Robeez ever since he was born and had Robeez boots this winter (soft leather). The shoes we got are Stride Rite and they’re really cute.

I’ve also looked at See Kai Run, Robeez Tredz and a couple others- but I liked these because they are cute, will go with lots of stuff- and they had them in his size. I haven’t been able to find many shoes I like in his size, even online lately!!

I bought those for my son. I just returned them yesterday. he isn’t walking quit yet- and they just wouldn’t stay on his feet!! but i love them!!

I happen to like the shoes we got for him- and MANY childrens shoes cost what Stride Rite costs.

I don’t like all of there shoes- but I DO think there are SOME cute ones. Plus, they are good for thier feet.

i have thought about them before, but didn’t know if they were better to get after he actually has learned to walk. he’s almost there – but not quit. I have a pair and wear them quite often- and my son’s father also has a pair he wears often too!

I’m doing last minute shopping and my son suddenly has to come to the wedding we’re going to. Our babysitter isn’t able to come through and now we’re stuck taking him with us. He’s 2.5 yrs old and I’m trying to find a cute outfit for him to wear to the wedding.

I looked online for Walmart and Target but don’t see anything cute.

I was hoping for cheap since it’ll be a one time wear. But if I have to spend a smidge more I’ll do it.

FL Sunshine – we had a "Once Upon A Child" near us and they closed it down. I’m SO bummed because they always had really nice stuff.

I’m trying to figure out some math, so for all you Mothers and Fathers out there, I have a question for you.

I’m about to be a Mom as of September 15th and was wondering for the parents who have NEWBORNS how long does a package of diapers (containing 56 diapers within the pack) last you? How many times per month do you have to go shopping for diapers? What brands are the best? Do you buy wipes and changing pads with that? How much all in all do you spend per time when you go out and buy those things/how long do they last? Estimated guess?

the playyard does convert from bassinet to play-pen and for the prices yeah the swing and bouncer i’m going to get from walmart because they are a lot cheaper than babies r us. but thank you for your input. this is our last baby we have 2 older children and i’m enjoying all the shopping.
