Cate is going to pre-k next year and i have already noticed that kids are starting to attempt to tie their shoes, while i have always put Cate in those cute little sandals or flip flops…when did your kids start tieing their shoes and when were they able to sucessfully do it?

The wedding will be outside and it will be hot where we are going. I need to run out and buy something for my son to wear while still remaining on a budget. He has no dress shoes of any kind.. He has a pair of dressier looking sandals and a pair of sneakers but that’s about it.
Is a short sleeved button down shirt too casual? Should I put him in khaki shorts or pants? The wedding is somewhat formal, and my husband and I are dressing up (He is wearing a suit, and I’m wearing a nice cocktail-type dress)… but I don’t want my toddler to be hot and uncomfortable and I don’t want to spend a fortune on something he is going to wear one time…
Any ideas?
LOL Hippie… The wedding is in GA and the bride wants us to bring Mason… of course LOL… plus we are leaving on Monday for a 4 day cruise and the babe is staying with my mom… so I would feel sheisty getting a baby sitter right before I leave the poor dude for a few days.

My husband and I always wore shoes growing up even in the house and we have no foot problems. I keep reading how bad shoes are for kids feet. Is it these kids in these studies wore inproper fitting shoes or what?
In never cheap out on shoes and either did my parents. We never wore sandals or flip flops either.
Do crocs with socks look bad on a guy? If not please tell me some good color and clothing combinations?

Well I am looking for other ways to keep feet cool this summer besides wearing sandals or flip flops. I am thinking about buying a pair of solid black crocs. Would these look ok with black socks? Or what color of socks? With shorts or pants? what colors?

I just don’t like the look of the original Crocs very much. But some of the sandals and flip flops are cute! Are they as comfortable as the original Crocs? I would like to have a good, comfortable, cute pair of flip flops to wear on Vacation where I will be walking a lot. Thanks!

I just ordered some baby shoes for my daughter on ebay. I asked the seller if the size it says is american. He took too long to answer me back and those liitle sandals are so cute for my baby, so I bid for them wishing he would answer back that the size it says is American size. Turns out he now tells me they are in Uk size. Does any body know what size 5 in UK is in America. Please help.
Will a baby not learn to walk easily if they do not have their "walking shoes"?

My baby is about to turn 12 months but she isn’t walking yet, she crawls and stands up by herself on me or on the furniture or her crib but hasn’t taken her first steps yet. anyway, I do have shoes for her but I hardly put them on because I heard that it’s not good to put shoes on before they start walk but she is almost getting there. The shoes I had dont’ fit her anymore but I bought her cute little summer outfits and i want to get her matching sandals but I don’t know if I should get them for her because she isn’t walking yet.. and I only put shoes on when we go out not at home.. only when we dress her up lol is it ok to get her regular sandals now?? thanks
