I really don’t know very much about baby clothing other than the fact that it’s sized based on the baby’s age. What does it go from? Like premie through toddler sizes where it goes like 2T, 4T?? what does the T mean? lol. I don’t have kids so I’m confused! If you could help me out and let me know of other facts I should include that would be great!!! Thanks!

My daughter is 8 months 1 week old. She crawls with her tummy off the floor and she is already cruising around holding on to things and she even stands by herself supported by one hand on her push cart toy. She was not a premie and she’s already on level 3 food, eating teething biscuits and she doesn’t take a pacifier. When I am up after I put her to sleep at night I let her have my baby blanket that my mom crocheted for me when I was a baby. Then before I go to bed I remove it. Now it’s getting colder in the 30s to 40s at night and although she wears footed sleepers I still feel like she’s ready to keep the blanket with her the whole night. I think she sleeps better with it and after reading a lot online about this age group they tend to do better with a security object like a thin blanket or small think Teddy.
Im going to let her have her crocheted baby blanket. Ive tried breathing through it vs. A thin receiving blanket and because of it’s holes I’ve found the crocheted blanket being so much more breathier. Even bunched up I could breath just fine but with a thin receiving blanket it was somewhat resistant.
I know they say not until after a yr old but then Ive heard that most doctors say it’s fine as long as over 6 months and can roll independently.. So
How old was your baby when you gave them a blanket to sleep better?
What type of blanket?
What was your experience? Were they happier? Did it matter? Was there any problems?
Thanks

What’s a simple easy pattern for a baby blanket? I don’t want a BIG one but not a premie. A typical size one, if there is one. Something that’s quick to make.
Thanks

My son is almost 2, I am pregnant with our third, due in Feb, I’ve got two toddler beds and one crib. So I was planning on getting him into a toddler bed before Feb anyway but hadn’t put much thought into it. But now my son has figured out how to get out of the crib, so I guess now would be a good time to start. My daughter is 4, I don’t remember having a problem with her, she was so much more advanced and I was a single mother at the time so she had always slept with me in a real bed not a crib so moving her to her own bed was really easy. So even though he is my second I feel kinda clueless on how to go about getting him to start sleeping in a toddler bed. He was a premie and seems a little slower with his learning and I know that he will be up and down all night and that he will get into things quietly that we may not hear right away. I know a lot of kids do that. We block off most of the house with baby gates but now he can climb over those too. continued read on….
I am not a deep sleeper and most of the time I hear every little thing, but he has gotten up a few times when I didn’t hear him until 10 min or so later, estimating. I’m wondering if there are any parents out there that have found tecniques that have worked for them when it comes to this. I have no ideas. So any advice would help. How did you get your child to start sleeping in a toddler bed?

ok my son will be 6 months on the 14th, he has been reaching his milestones one after another after another.. he has one tooth through the gum and two i can see coming, he can roll over both ways immediatly after laying him down, he pulls his feet up to his mouth, shakes toys and picks them up, removes pacifier and tries (sooo cute!) to replace it.. he can sit if i hold his hips, bbut is wobbly and falls forward if i let them go. now to his size.. he still fits into some newborn clothes and wears all 0-3 month clothes all brands.. he was 5 weeks early weighing 6 7.7 and 19.5 inches long, he has grown roughly ( its darn hard to try to measure an awake baby at home lol) 25.5 in and roughly weighs 12.5-13 lbs. his head still measures the same as at his last appt at 3 months where they put him on nutramigen because he wasnt gaining weight on enfamil and breastmilk. . i feel like he is still sooooo small compared to other children.. i just need comfort, he has an apointment coming up but im so nervous that he is growth wise soooo far behind. ( my great grandmother was at her tallest 4 foot 10 )
thank you for all the answers! it sounds terrible but please dont judge me, i never met his biological fathers family, but from what i was told they are all kinda short, but fat.. he left us when i found out i was pregnant and the army has a great way of hiding people.. My mothers side (great grandma, my grandpa , my mom and one aunt, and myself are all around 5’5 and average+ a bit o’ love lbs.. ) are all shorter, my moms mother, My father and his entire family are in the high 5 feet to 6’5 range. . so seeing Gabe in my father and brothers arms it really takes me back a few steps.. he seemed huge to be a premie, and he was, but its like he hasnt grown much since then.. i love him even if he stays the size he is now.. my little man. <3

I had a premie in NICU and thought they were awesome. I took that opportunity, every one of her nurses got an interview. It sounded like something I could do and would love. She passed away, at home 3 months old of "natural causes" anyways, and I even quite baby-sitting.
My first is 6 and I miss babies. Still thinking about teaching, but what is the best job working with babies? It has been 2 years and I am ready to be around itty bitties again. I have been around a few babies and feel much better now. I have days, like everyone else, but this is life and I can help other babies or mommies with itty bitties.
