I am planning to sell my maternity clothes on craigslist or ebay. They are in good condition (no rips, stains, etc.)

They are all Motherhood, Old Navy, Liz Lange brands. And are size large.

What should I ask for this lot:

7 T-shirts/Blouses

2 Pairs of Jeans

2 Pairs of Pants

3 Skirts

1 Pair of Shorts

That’s 15 pieces of clothing, should I ask maybe for them all? That’s a piece!

My son is not quite three, but is rapidly outgrowing his 4T stuff. The stores seems to have very few items in the 5T size (and underwear doesn’t appear to come in 5T at all). When I head into the boys’ department, the smallest size is also a size 5, but seems larger…maybe?

Again, because I cannot find a lot of 5T stuff for comparsion, I’m a little confused. For reference, I shop at normal places like Old Navy, Target & Mervyn’s.
Our biggest problem is pants. They seem to fit at the waist but be over six inches too long! My son is not think but fairly lean.
Sorry, mean to type "thin" instead of "think".
Wow, judging from some of your answers, I guess my son is bigger than I thought. He turns three in a month and his 4T shirts are short enough to nearly show his belly.

School starts back in a few weeks, so I want to configure my shopping list before the 18th. We aren’t allowed to wear tank tops unless they are layered over or under a top with sleeves. I like clothes from Old Navy, Target, Rue 21, Ross, Abercrombie, A&F, AE, Aeropostle, Limited Too, and stores like that. But what styles of clothes and shoes from these places are really ‘in’ right now and for fall?

Maternity clothes?

I have bought clothes in the past at motherhood. They are expensive and seem to wear easily, but I do like them. I’ve bought a few things from Old navy, but where is YOUR personal favorite store to shop maternity? Thanks!

TODDLER BOYS & CLOTHING QUESTION?

I’m not second guessing myself nor am I going to change what I am doing but I am curious..

My son is 2. He now has an opinion on what he wears. Most of the time I do pick out his clothes but once in a while I let him pick something out as well.

Both times we left Old Navy and Buy Buy Baby he came out with Kai-Lan shirts. They are both for girls. He has NEVER seen this TV show before but he has always been obsessed with colours. That was the first thing that he learned by pointing and the first thing he learned how to say as well. Kai-Lan shirts have lots of colour usually. He holds onto these shirts with all of his might until he can put it on once we get home.

Anyway, my question, would you let your son wear a girl’s shirt if he wanted or do you just tell him no right away? One of the Kai-Lan shirts he wears as is but the other one I did actually have to cut the sleeves off because they were ruffled.

From what I’ve seen in the stores, American’s tell their son/daughter it’s a BOY shirt or it’s a GIRL shirt. Most of the Japanese kids don’t care. My son’s best friend, Kosei, who’s 3, wears boy clothes but has hot pink crocs. He wears them in public. My son, along with the rest of the kids in our neighbourhood who are boys ranging from 12 months to 5 years old ALL wear girl pants. It’s as close as we can find to Japanese pants while in the states.

First picture is a Kai-Lan shirt I’m asking about
Second picture is my son wearing girl pants, like all of his friends.

No TD from me.
For the last 2 photos are of the other Kai-Lan shirt that I did decide to cut the sleeves off after taking the pictures a couple days ago because it IS a really girly shirt. I don’t mind the graphics but I thought it was the best thing to do cutting the sleeves off.

Does it make a difference to you which Kai-Lan shirt you’d let your son wear? Would you only let him wear the one that is more of a unisex or would this second one be alright as well after the cut?

It’s so funny to me how much each culture is different from the next. No matter which ones are being compared.
Hey Momma -
I did look at Gap. They are alright as well but I didn’t see any with the flare leggings like the ones we have now.
Who am I -
I don’t feel as if I’m giving him control. I have no problem with letting my child dress in a way that makes him happy. It’s not like we go strolling down the girl’s isle. When you shop at Old Navy or Buy Buy Baby, all the graphic t’s are in the same spot. So I could see Batman, Spiderman, Strawberry Shortcake and Kai-Lan on the same shelf.

This isn’t a control issue at all. I don’t see many rainbows or shirts with lots of colours in the boy sections of places or I’m sure he would pick some of them up as well.

Best brand of jeans for a thin toddler?

My son is tall and thin like me (genetically thin), I was wondering the best brand of clothes, especially for jeans/pants for thin toddlers? My son is thinner than average, not to the point where it’s a medical problem, just an inconvenience when buying clothes meant to fit a toddler’s "baby fat". Right now he mostly wears Old Navy but it seems to run big. I’ve tried other brands that mostly all are too wide for him. I know Carters runs a bit smaller but after 24 mos Carters seems hard to find in my area in toddler sizes 2T 3T 4T etc. I use belts but they are a pain when using them for a toddler. Thanks!

Old Navy halloween costumes question?

If you have bought your infant/toddler an old navy costume, was it true to size? My son wears 18-24 months clothing, and I just ordered him a 12-24 months costume. 24 months pants are a little too big on him, but he can’t wear smaller due to length. The next size up is 2t-3t, and I can’t imagine it would fit because he can barely wear 24 months. Do you think his costume will fit?

Baby bikinis…?

So I was on the Old Navy website lookign at baby clothes and saw they have baby bikinis, at first I thought oh how cute, but some of them are designed just like grownup string bikinis, which I thought was sort of gross…
So what’s your opinion: are baby bikinis cute or sick?

Here is the site: http://www.oldnavy.com/browse/category.do?cid=39306
I can see and agree with both sides of the argument.
It’s fun and cute to dress babies in adult looking clothes and see their sweet chubby little bellies hanging out.

BUT, on the other hand…

Those triangle tops immediately make me think of sexy bikini models and in no way should children EVER be sexualised, especialy with the pervs running loose these days.

If I had a baby daughter I might buy her one for wearing in the back yard wading pool and cute family photos but NOT one of the skimpy ones and never in public.
