My daughter has about 10 coats, all 2t! I bought my son all of his newborn clothes at gymboree, and I think he wore them for about a month. I would really like to sell their old clothes and make some money since they’re just sitting in the garage in boxes just taking up valuable space; but I am afriad I will regret it because I will never get them back! Although, I noticed thay pretty much everyone gets rid of their kids’ clothes eventually. So, what do you think?

I’m starting to do some shopping and I’m going to be registering for my baby showers and things soon and I’m wondering…should I really worry about buying or registering for Newborn sized clothes or should I just go ahead and get 0-3 mos.? The doctor says she’s measuring big already and all the babies in our family have between 8 and 10lbs at birth. This is my first baby but I know with my nieces and nephews they never really seemed to wear the newborn clothes and I just don’t want to spend money on something that she’s not going to wear. So any advice will be appreciated! Thanks!!!

That being said I keep tending to buy clothes in the 3 months size range NOT the newborn stuff because it just looks TOO small!

The newborn clothes look like they would hardly fit on a doll let alone a baby! I was an average size when I was born – 7 lbs, and my fiance was 10 lbs when he was born…

That being said I worry that if I buy newborn clothes they simply wont fit the baby when he/she comes.

About how many lbs is the ‘newborn’ size supposed to fit?

I do have a lot of baby clothes but they are mostly 0-3 months, not newborn sizes. I’m just not sure how big the baby is going to be (I’m tall), so I’m hesitant to buy a lot of newborn sizes that don’t fit.
