Is it ok to swaddle baby for naps?

My 10 week old daughter is pretty fussy during day time naps but we don’t swaddle her. When we put her to bed for the night, we swaddle her and she knows is sleep time and goes to sleep quickly and sleeps well. Do you think it would be ok to swaddle baby for daily naps so she gets a higher quality nap and decrease fussiness?

Any ideas on getting rid of the pacifier?

My daughter will be two in a few weeks and we were wanting to get her away from the pacifier. She is in daycare and she goes all day w/o it (even at nap) but the minute she gets in the car she wants it. Also we have a 3 month old who has one so she will constantly be seeing her sister’s pacifier. Any suggestions?

We do not want a standing one as he still needs a NAP in the stroller when out, he will mostly walk with harness when not in need of a nap, but we need one the infant seat will be in as well. Any suggestions, we have an escort sw so we do not have a whole lot of room in the hatch either.

How to clean chocolate syrup off a toddler bed?

One of my daughters decided to paint her bedroom with chocolate syrup while I was laying the baby down for a nap. I got the syrup off the walls and bedding, and have a carpet cleaner for the floor, but no matter how hard I scrub, it seems to be staining her toddler bed (the plastic on it). It is purple, so I can’t use diluted bleach water. Any suggestions would be much appreciated, because she just got this bed for Christmas. Thanks.

My daughter just turned two years old and she is still sleeping in her crib at home for both nap and bedtime. We are talking about starting to move her to her toddler bed, but even when we talk about it, she has NO INTEREST and will even protest when we have tried to physically put her in there. Now, she goes over to a home daycare during the day and sleeps in a regular bed there, so I know that she can do it and isn’t afraid. Does anyone have any fun tips to make her more excited about it? We are pregnant with our third and will need the crib by about may of next year, so we don’t feel the need to push it yet, but would like to start the transition to give her enough time.

My daughter is 6 months old.

First off, she slept in til noon today which is pretty unusual. She went to bed at 9 or 9:30 last night, which is her normal bedtime. Usually she wakes up at 8 or 9 am.

When I went in to get her this morning, she didn’t even want to get up in the first place. I left her alone for about 20 minutes and then went back in and got her up. She acted completely fine until-
I gave her her normal 6 ounce bottle that she has first thing everyday.

As soon as she drank the last drop, she vomited everywhere. I wouldn’t be surprised if it was the entire 6 ounces. So then I gave her some rice cereal like I always do in the mornings. Then she took an hour and a half long nap, which surprised me since she had slept in so late.

So I went and woke her up again later, fed her some jarred carrots, and then she pukes all over herself again. Not near as much this time, but still, it worries me. She’s never been a big spit-up type baby. Has been on the same formula ever since she was a month old…
So then I go and get her some apple juice because I figure she must be getting pretty dehydrated from getting sick two times already. Usually she LOVES apple juice, but really didn’t care for it today.
What I don’t understand is, she’s been acting like herself all day. Happy, laughing at everything, playing with her toys as usual. But she’s been excessively tired and barfing up every other thing I feed her. AND NO FEVER WHATSOEVER!
Then she vomited all over herself in her car seat when me and the family were on our way to a restaurant. So I took her into the bathroom and cleaned her up and changed her clothes. Then 45 minutes later, while in the high chair, she vomits, what looks like a waterfall! she was gasping for air, there was so much vomit coming out. After that, she STILL acts as if nothing is bothering her! I don’t get it!
She has no fever, doesn’t feel cold at all. Hasn’t been fussy at all. Just can’t keep anything down. I’m trying to keep her hydrated with a little bit of water and apple juice here and there. What do you think??
I know it’s a little late to add this, but I did call her pediatrician and ask-a-nurse before posting this. They both told me as long as she didn’t have a temperature, that she should be ok and to just keep her hydrated. But, I just wanted to ask someone to see if anyone had this issue with their kiddo before. I appreciate all the people that were understanding and gave me advice. To those who completely bashed me, I’m a new mother and have been told by many many people that you don’t have to rush a baby to the ER just because they get sick. Turns out she was just having a bad reaction to her brand new tooth that just popped in the other day, which according to her pediatrician, is not at all unusual. She’s completely fine today, no vomiting or diarrhea, and seems to be feeling a lot better. You don’t have to be a paranoid psycho to be a good mother.

How to transition my baby from my bed to crib?

Hello!
I need any advice I can get….When my baby was born, I had a separated pelvis…I was told the proper way to have him co sleep with me until I was healed since I had to stay in bed. He is now almost 5 months old and I would like to transfer him from my bed to his crib. I have tried numerous times including putting him in his crib to nap during the day and letting him cry until he falls asleep. I have put something with my scent on it in the crib as well, I have tried swaddling, mobiles etc. Every time I put him in there he is ok for about 10 minutes then starts crying, I need my bed back as I am loosing sleep now as I can not move from the one position because hes decided to sleep right in the middle! Any advice would be greatly helpful!! Thanks for reading!!!

When did your baby start consistantly sleeping for more than two hours at a time? When did they start sleeping through the night? When did you put them on a nap and bedtime schedule? Is your baby formula or breastfed?
