Me and my boyfriend went out for a while so we lend the baby to my mother in law, when we came back home and got the baby back , my baby’s blanket stunk so terrible like dog. My mother in law has a very bad habit of keeping her stinky never bathed dog in the house with worms around babies. I never want to lend her the baby for the very same reason, but the point is I’ve tried washing the baby blanket over and over, again and again with hot water, and still it smells like dog so bad! It’ pisses me off so bad, B/C I hate the stinky wormy dog around the baby and for the blanket to smell that strong and foul till today is because there is no other assumption than to think that my mother in law may have laid the blanket on the floor while playing with the baby and the dog may have got on it. The stupid dog has done it before. I hate the fact that my mother in law even thinks about laying the blanket on the carpet floor where she knows her stinky wormy dog lays all over everything!!! This was a month and a half ago, and the blanket still smells like stinky wet dog. I washed the blanket lots of times and the smell just faded but never actually came off. I’ve tried it all!! Any tips, suggestions, ideas, anything please help!
THIS IS SOOO ANNOYING AN "NERVE WRECKING< I"D RATHER LISTEN TO THE SOUND A CHALK BOARD BEING SCRATCHED WITH NAILS FOREVER INSTEAD OF STANDING AND RESISTING My mother in law being so careless about my baby and my baby’s things by doing stupid things and letting her dog do whatever!!!

I’m having little girl and there’s 8 weeks left! YAY! My mother in law is quite excited too! Since we told her shes been mailing in big boxes full of used clothes from preemie size to size 7, shoes from NB all the way to tap shoes size 10.

I’m very grateful but really over whelmed… to date I have revived a total of 33 boxes! I started to put them in totes by size and quickly relished I need a better plan. I have too much but there so cute! BUT
How many clothes per-size do I really need? What about the used shoes?
She has sent clothes that will be out of season for her age too, do I keep them just in case? (my son was born over 9lbs and 22inches long and didn’t fit in any of his NB clothes, he was to long)
I’m also a Air Force wife and every 3 years we move..I so don’t want to pack and move clothes that my child won’t wear for years!

Thanks for the ideas and help!

My mother in law was over last weekend. Her kids (8 and 9) went swimming. I was waiting for her to take off her clothes to go swimming. She was wearing a revealing tank top and I could see gold straps to what I thought was a bathing suit top. So I didn’t think much of her outfit.

It turns out, she wasn’t going swimming and she wasn’t wearing a bathing suit. That was her ensemble… a low cut red tank top with the thin straps, and a gold bra. She is 40 years old, had 4 kids, and isn’t in the best shape. Her breasts are very large (34 C I think) and were touching eachother all smushed up in her top. I know that was probably too much info., but I wanted to give you a picture. There was at least 6" of cleavage and I’m so offended, I might have to ask that she dresses appropriately next time in front of my infant.

I know she thinks no one will be looking at her cuz it’s a family get-together, but I noticed how trashy she dressed. Next time, how should I handle it?

"My eyes!"??
I have a small frame so I am not worried about offending anyone. I wore a tankini with a skirted bottom. It was very conservative and I had the kids and family in mind. I can wear just about any tank top without looking "flashy" and it’s rather hard for me to look like I’m hanging out of my top. Do larger busted women not realize how they appear?
FYI I would have a breast reduction if my tatas were that nasty, big and saggy.

Im havign a babygirl, and she has about 18 pairs of shoes and alot of clothes. They go up to 12 months, and are season matched for the size.

I didnt not buy most of them, I bought useful stuff, but my mother in law is complaining that she has so much stuff.
&& is saying no one needs to get her anything else.

I dont think im going overboard/ and I did NOT buy most of it, alot of it was gifts.
But me and my mother in law both have more than 17 pairs of shoes, Ill prolly have over 30. and we both have alot of clothes.
So does anyone else see a problem.

The baby needs clothes because unlike us she is going to grow way faster.

I’m kinda venting in a question form, but what is everyone else opinion?
I dont have hardly any newborn clothes.
I have 0-3 3-6 6-9 ect.

And alot of it is season matched(6 months in winter), but it still has tags, so i can take it back or once upon a child or something

and i didnt buy hardly any clothes, I just got alottt of gifts
I couldnt tell the people i didnt want there gifts…

I give birth to my son in Florida and lived at my mothers for about a month and then I moved up to Tennessee to live with my Mother in-law and baby daddy because he moved up to tennessee right after nicolas was born because me and my mother kicked him out because he was doing drugs and drinking his mother promised me she was going to put me thru school, buy me a car help take care of Nicolas while I worked and everything. I went up there and little did I find out that she was lying so that Nicolas (my son) would be living with her. She never bought nicolas formula, diapers, baby wipes anything nor did she feed me I got food stamps wic and medicaid. I paid her rent every month not much, but definetly enough to cover the electricity I used etc. later on james (my baby daddy) packed up all his stuff and tried to leave the state left my infant in his crib home alone while i was at work and left came back a couple hours later after already buying the bus ticket and decided that it was messed up what he did and came back home. So when I found out, I broke up with him. Later on his mother started threatening to kick me out because I wasn’t with her son anymore etc. all her promises were bullshit she never even took care of Nicolas while i was at work my friend did.One day I came home and tried to pick up Nicolas and james started arguing with me and shoved me while I was holding my son and his family surrounded me threatening me they were all going to beat my *** so I went to work and arranged for a place at my friends for me and nicolas when I got home that night and tried to get nicolas they hid the car seat and james’s mother pried Nicolas out of my hands and told me he wasnt going anywhere and had her husband and James literally drag me out of the house by my hair so when i called the cops to get me Nicolas back the cops said that neither of us had legal custody and that he couldn’t do anything the next morning i went to the police department and the executive officer made Jeni (my mother in-law) give me Nicolas back (although i had to go and buy a new car seat) when i came back later on that day to pick up all my things Jeni wasn’t home so I walked in (they alkways leave the door open they dont have a house key) and little did i know NOTHING was there except for nicolas’s clothes she had stolen my camera laptop she had taken everything I had to my name, my clothes my high school diploma my ss card my birth certificate nicolas’s SS card I mean EVERYTHING so I ended up moving back to Florida with my family and did my tax return now I found out someone claimed Nicolas?? I KNOW it was her or her son what can I do about it? I have court ordered papers stating I have custody of Nicolas they live in a completely different state than i do

Pacifiers?

ok….plain and simple I dont want my baby to use any pacifiers. I dont like them and most kids keep them until there toddler years and i definatly wont be having that. is it wrong that I dont want my child to have them? and I know that my mother-in-law is a pacifier lover. and I am going to tell her she is not allowed to give my son any pacifiers. is that wrong?

How can I get my toddler to use the toilet?

My three year old girl goes to nursery and is dry all day, and also at my mother-in-law’s house, but after ten minutes of being at home she wets herself and just won’t use the toilet/potty. I have tried asking her to use the toilet, bought her a potty the same as at nursery, tried leaving her in wet clothes, getting her to help me clean it up.. nothing makes her want to stay dry at home – she just doesn’t care. Any (sensible) ideas very welcome!!

I am thinking of asking my mother-in-law to make a quilt for our new baby daughter due in September. I am really not looking forward to a character. I think I am leaning more toward a pink toile or something like that. I want it to be a timeless heirloom for her.

My mother-in-law is actually my husband’s step-mother, his mom passed away when he was 9. So my first daughter got the quilt that his mother made right before he was born. My mother-in-law (his step-mom) crocheted a pastel multicolored baby blanket for my 2nd daughter. I just want something just for the new one since they all have pieces of their own.

My mother in law has always told me that if I don’t start having my daughter wear shoes, then she won’t learn how to walk properly, and she will only stand on her tip toes when she walks, she won’t walk flat footed. my daughter is 11 months old. and I really don’t put shoes on her all that much, it just seems so unnecessary to me. I dunno. Is there any truth to what my mother in law says about the foot thing? thanks
