I need a name for my small business?

Me, my mother in law and my cousin are starting a small craft business. We will be making little girls dresses, purses, hair bows, burp cloths, etc. We also do flower arrangements for weddings and such. Our last names are Taylor and Branch. We would like a clever name that kind of plays off of our last names, if possible. Thank you so much!

What to buy for a newborn baby boy?

I’m experienced with buying girl things, since I have a daughter, but my mother-in-law and I are going baby shopping tonight for my unborn son. Our son is her last grandchild, so she wants to help out and spoil him as much as possible, which is very helpful to us since we have tons of expenses coming up in the next few weeks before he is born. All we have is Pink right now, and I’m not dressing my son in Pink.

Here is the list I’ve made of things to buy tonight:

Newborn Boy Snowsuit (he’s due in December)
Boy Shirts
Boy Pants
Newborn socks and Booties
Mitts
Newborn Hats
Newborn Sleepers
Diaper Shirts
Blue Flannel and Receiving Blankets
6 D-sized batteries for the swing
Hooded Bath Towels
Squirt Vaseline Container (we’re circumsizing him so the regular containers won’t be good when we have to coat his diaper with vaseline)
Shampoo
Soothers
Nightlight (for our daughter)

We have diapers coming out of our wazoo and wipes are constantly going through as well. We also already have plenty of bottles.

Is there anything on the list I should add or omit?

Thanks!
She already has great-grandchildren who are older than both my kids. My husband’s youngest sibling is 14 years older than he is. So because all of my husband’s sisters have had hysterectomies and most of their kids have kids of their own, they won’t be having anymore. My husband is her youngest at 28, and due to medical issues, we won’t be having anymore children after our son is born, which is why our son is her last grandchild.

I read on Targets online reviews that some of the mothers were actually upset to find out that you can really tell it’s a boy. How stupid could you be to be offended by this? What happens when mommy has a baby brother for the sibling?, this is life. Are they liberal politically correct idiots or what?. I had to go out and buy one just because of the reviews. I also read that the boy is the favorite choice and most asked for. My mother in law checked many stores, and all the boy dolls were gone.

cloth diapers (g diapers) diy inserts?

My mother in law gave me a pack of 2 g diapers but no inserts…. I wanted to know if anyone can give me the measurements of the cloth inserts for them so I can make them myself. Also, Can I make them out of like a towel fabric and then flannel on top? Or can I just use those flat diaper/burp cloths made by gerber as the inserts? thanks!

fyi, I dont use cloth diapers so I just want to try these out and see how it goes.

Baby boy clothing size?

I’m due in February with a baby boy and I’m not sure what size clothes I should be buying. My mother-in-law keeps buying 3-6 and 6-9 month winter clothes for him. She think that he’s going to wear 3-6 months clothes when he’s born and be in 12 months clothes by summer and i’m worried that they are going to way to big. I am a small person (5’3" and 100lbs before I got pregnant) and my husband is pretty average size (around 6′) and I don’t think our baby is gonna be that big. I don’t wanna be rude and tell her that I think she’s crazy LOL but I don’t want to have all of these clothes that i’m not gonna be able to use. Please help me!
P.S. I’ve tried to mention that friends of mine babies wore Newborn to 0-3 months at birth, and she just kinda blows it off, and says "Well your baby isn’t gonna be like that" like she’s expecting me to have a 15lb baby or something! LOL

My son was born at the end of February and for St. Patricks Day, Easter, and now 4th of July my mother in law has been the one to buy his outfits for these special occasions. This is her first grandchild, so I can understand why she wants to buy these things for him, but he’s my first child and I want to buy some cutsie "firsts" outfits. I appreciate her thoughtfulness and would never intend to be rude to her, she’s so sweet to us, but I feel like its more my place than hers to decide what he’s going to get to wear on special occasions. I only have so long that I can dress up my little boy before he starts making his own clothing choices and I feel like I’m missing out on that. How should I go about handling this situation. Its such a delicate one and I don’t want to offend anyone. Am I just being petty? Should I just get over it and dress him in what she buys regardless of whether I want him in it or not? I just don’t know…

baby rash?

my 8 and 1/2 month old son has a rash its not on his bum but but on the area just above his penis. it doesnt seem to be bothering him at all. it just kinda red with little bums. This is the first rash he has ever gotton. i am just wondering what it could be from. my mother-in-law thinks its cause he is teething. the doctor didnt say anything about it. and said i was still doing on keeping him from getting dipear rash. i started to put some dipear cream on it but that doesnt seem to help. its not big or anything. its a small rash. and not totally noticeable.
thanks everyone

My mother in law isn’t the first person to jump in to help out but for my baby shower we would like a little help. She always says she will help then never does… like for my bridal shower.

My mother-in-law mentioned that back in 1978, she was told by a hospital nurses to place a raisin in her newborn child’s belly button to create an innie. However, she doesn’t recall if it was right away or after the dried portion fell off. Right away seems unlikely because of the delicate condition, but I’m not an expert. It worked, but then again, I too have an innie without using this method. BTW, my mother laughed at the suggestion and went on about possible infection.
