Right off the bat, I think women who say they need abortions for health reasons are full of it. Prove me wrong. I encourage you to use all the proof and real-life examples you can. Also, if ya’ll have the time, tell me why they just can’t remove the baby by C-section and put it on life support, so that way, both the baby and the woman have a chance to live.
If I was a doctor, would I be asking this question? Think people.

I appreciate the example, but not that comment. Try to remember that you were a parasite once and be glad your parents didn’t abort your sorry behind.

I read what you wrote Elizabeth, quite clearly. I realize some women have medical problems that require abortion. Yet no one who answered this question has told me exactly what conditions make abortion a needed choice for survival except for hmasson. I haven’t much time in my schedule to do the research, that’s why I posted this question. I needed extra help finding the facts. But it looks like some people of the women’s health section either don’t know or just want to be useless. I wanted sources for doctor’s say on the matter; instead, I mostly got people’s opinions, NOT what I asked for. I appreciate the statistics you gave, though, Elizabeth, I would have just liked a source as well.
I’m sorry for getting edgey on you hmasson. It’s just that when you made that comment, it sounded as though you were the kind if person who would practice infanticide or something. I understand your point about the essentiality of women, but these essential women don’t appear out of thin air. How can you say that you stole your mother’s kidney? My mother used to tell me that she would jump in front of bullet to save me. Should I blame myself for stealing my mother’s life if she would have done that? Guilt has a way of making people feel less worthy than they are. If I understand you right, it’s what’s going on with you. You think that your medical difficulties have made you a thorn in your family’s side. But didn’t they give you the treatment? The kidney? We aren’t animals. You can argue that, scientifically, we are, but in spirit, we are above this game of survival of the fittest. We have medicine, science; we don’t just let people die. I understand the need for a woman to survive.
I just want the reasons so that I don’t have to feel any malice towards women who are actually sick, and can’t keep a baby. In my mind, I need to separate them from the women/girls who carelessly get pregnant and eliminate the unwanted baby, because for them, I feel no pity.
I understand Alda. I realize you have a very deep love and appreciation for life, and I respect that. I was considering reposting this question elsewhere, but I’ve decided against it. Honestly, I don’t think anyone is sure about the medical circumstances that eliminate a fetus or, at least sure when these circumstanes are genuinely come into play. Before medicine, many women died in childbirth. Nowadays, the death rates during childbirth have decreased dramatically, so it’s really hard for the women to determine, in my opinion, whether the child is either life-threatening or just inconvenient, because in her mind, she wants to get rid of this baby as soon as it presents a serious problem. Pregnancy is stressful enough, so a difficult pregnancy is not something women want to go through. Yet, some are willing. Sure, doctors know, but they can only suggest things, not enforce them.

If Namaste ever comes back (which I doubt) this question was straight up about health. YOU made it an issue about morals, not me. Putting a bit of my opinion on the detail page did not give anybody the right to go off on me. If they really needed to though, they needed to give me a decent answer first, then rant. Honestly, I doubt you know what you’re talking about. Yes, you know that if a fetus threatens the mother’s life, the doctor would recommend an abortion, but that’s obvious, and, I think, about all you know. The rest of your answer is opinion. No fact (accept your personal experience, in which you didn’t even tell me what condition they were in) and mostly opinion. Okay, I’m done now.
