I’ve seen that most of the crib recalls are cribs that have drop sides and the wooden tubes that support the mattress. Which cribs out there do not have a drop side or wooden tubes to support the mattress? That is fairly reasonable on price.

My husband and I are expceting our first in July! I have no idea what kind of mattress is recommended. When I go to look at them, I get overwhelmed. Do I have to spend hundreds of dollars or are there quality ones that are cheaper?

I just got my bedding I ordered from Ebay and I am having prolems installing the crib bumper. Do I have to have the mattress in there first? I tried installing it without the mattress and then had trouble getting the mattress back in.
Please…..I have heard about and read about the dangers with bumpers and I do plan to take it away once he can move around, but just for now I need to know how to install it.

One the one side it keeps dust dirt, etc. from gathering in the babys mattress. But on the other side I think it maybe unsafe. Thats why I am asking.
Yeah Lisa… thats what I thought. Thanks.
Oh my gosh… I never heard that story. I am definetly taking it off!!!
Thanks for the answers. I was already thinking about taking it off before having my little one. I just figured I would double check and see what you guys think.

I live in Phoenix, AZ and I am about to buy a crib for my baby. Where can I get a good inexpensive crib? I’m looking to spend no more than 0 for the crib and mattress.

I registerd for a mattress for my crib but I can’t figure out the box spring issue. I’m making a crib skirt, and it says it should go on the box spring. I don’t even see box springs to register for. Do you use a box spring in a crib? If not, where does the crib skirt go?

I’m not talking about 6 to 10 year old stuff, The things I’m selling are only about 3 or 4 years old. I’ve got some baby and toddler clothes from Gymboree, Baby Gap and Children’s Place that are fairly new, no stains on them and still look great. There are also several cute pairs of shoes that were never even worn. I’ve also got a toddler bed with the mattress, a little tykes kitchen and a few VSmart electronic toys that work just fine. Some people I talk to say to price the clothes and toys at a buck or two, but I just can’t imagine doing that for stuff that originally cost more than 20 bucks. Is 4 or 5 bucks too much? How about the Toddler bed with mattress? The mattress is a Sealy Comfort bed, one side for infants and one side for older babies. Would 20 bucks for the set be too much? Thanks in advance for sharing your advice. -Mich

My son is 15mo. old and is trying to climb out of his crib. He can get about half way up the sides, and yes his mattress is at the lowest place it can be.
