As a single dad ith 2 little girls (4 & 5), how would you suggest I meet some nice Dads with kids the same age. I’m in the Richmond VA area,
a friend of mine is having issues with her sister in law. they have little girls that are around the same age, 6 and 7 months old.. and her sister in law is constantly competing with her. they are going to a very expensive, important bar mitzvah in december, and so they have to dress their kids to the nines. my friend went out and bought an entire outfit from janie and jack.. and her sister in law went out and asked the people at the store what she got, and got the same outfit. so im wondering, what are some other top [expensive] designers for baby’s clothes, more importantly.. dressy baby clothes.. just to give her some options. i personally dont think its a big deal either way.. but its a big deal to her. i know it sounds completely materialistic, but i guess this bar mitzvah is a big deal. so i’d appreciate some help!
My, beautiful, toddler, Charlotte, is growing out of the baby room and i need idea’s on what to give her for a new room

I’ve always been ill at ease when I see young girls wearing "big girl clothes", I’ve had friends who put their kids in dance classes, then cringed my way through recitals where BABIES were taught to "strut their stuff" in front of a crowd.
I didn’t think it was "cute", "precious" or "funny"…but the parents didn’t seem to mind. The day does not pass when several people here don’t worry about how "fast" our young are growing up…and I am wondering HOW people can allow this sort of thing, and not expect it to happen.
Performing aside, I have seen little girls (age seven tops) playing in the park wearing low riding hip huggers to show off their thongs.
Are these parents out of their minds, or am I just hopelessly out of date? I don’t understand "tarting up" our children.
A woman recently published a book called "Stop Dressing Your Six Year Old Like A Skank"…so I am pretty sure I’m not alone.
Thoughts?
Wow…so it isn’t just me.
I have no problem with kids doing dance, and the like…I just have issues with the places that insist on making them, look like pint sized women. They are KIDS.
And as to the mom who reminded us that parents do the buying—right ON!
I have so had it with the dismissive "well what can you do?" parents who shrug, and give in. When our kids were babies, we didn’t let them play with electical outlets because they "wanted to", abd this strikes me as no different.
Thanks for the replies…and I will keep watch on this one!
I was shopping recently with a friend in a high end department store, and saw these bikinis…along with the bootie shorts to match…the sizes? 2-6X.
Enough already…is it really wrong to let a girl be a kid?
My mother in law and i had a little argument over this issue this weekend… i was wondering if you all agree with her…because everyone i ask seems to!
So here’s the issue: I had the family over this sunday and my four year old daughter Mariella wanted to show off her back to school clothes for her grandparents, aunts, uncles etc. So Mia is parading around in a few of her new outfits and everyone told her how pretty and grown up she looked…Later after she had gone off to play with the other kids. My mother in law started into me about what a waste of money it is to buy all these new clothes for the girls all the time ( i also have three year old twins). And yes, i do buy them a lot. They have way more clothing than they need, and i do stock up fully for each one of them at every season, but so what? If we can afford it, what is the problem? she says it will spoil them but they don’t care about the clothes. Mia loves her new clothes because i told her how pretty she looks. she likes the attention, you know? but if i hadn’t bought her anything she wouldnt have cared either. And the little girls REALLY don’t care about it. I just like to buy lots of cute clothing for my girls, it’s for me more than it is for them. So i don’t see a problem.
Also, my mother in law and one of my sister in laws began about how since the girls can all fit into the same size (Mariella was a preemie so she’s small and wears the same size as her Lyle and Alanna) I should just buy one of things and let them share. I think that’s completely ridiculous. Why should my girls to have to share their clothes when they don;t need to? That would be silly. There is nothing wrong with sharing, and i do intermix their closets from time to time, but why shouldnt they have their onw things.
I know that this isn’t really a big deal, but it just bothered me because i felt l ike I was being attacked for spoiling and overindulging my children and I just don’t see it that way. My mother in law feels very strongly that I spoil my kids. Whenever they act up she likes to point out that if I indulged them less they’d behave. but they’re good little kids! I don’t give them just anything they want. but the clothes are just my thing. My closet is enormous and overstuffed, why shouldn’t my daughters’ be?
My mother in law is very good to her grandkids and she does buy them lots of things, and get pretty extravagent(she rented a pony for my girls second birthday!) She just thinks expensive clothes are a waste for little kids. which i understand but i don’t see why she makes it such an issue…
and yes we have a college fund for each kid and retirement…
My friend has 3 girls ages: 9 months, 6 years, and 7 years.
I keep them alot and i like to dress them cute when they are with me..and im also expecting a girl so i was wondering if there are any moms on here who like the same and where do you buy your bows and clothes at.
The youngest girl wears 6-9 months clothes and the two older girls wear 4-8 in girl clothes
And i like BIG PRETTY bows.
i was just hoping someone could give me some websites that have bows and stuff for little girls..

What. The. Hell. I have officially found the fourth horseman of the apocalypse and he’s riding in wearing slutty children’s clothing. Miley Cyrus’ 9 year old sister Noah and her BFF Emily Grace are teaming up together to launch a children’s lingerie collection for Ohh! La, La! Couture. I don’t know what’s scarier the actual clothing or the fact that someone’s parents sit back and let this happen.
The website describes The Emily Grace Collection as:
"trendy, sweet, yet edgy feel, is reminiscent of Emily’s true personality. She is collaborating with Ooh! La, La! Couture designers to create versatile styles that can be worn with sweet ballerina slippers, funky sneakers or paired with lace stockings and boots for more of a rock and roll look. Emily’s collection will appeal not just to little girls—the line also has an exclusive Teen Collection available to a size 14."
If babies are wearing this crap right out of the bomb, there’s no hope for the youth of America. On top of hawking slutty clothes, Emily hopes to promote and raise awareness for her foundation, "Lollipops and Rainbows", which is basically a charity of charities. Yeah, we don’t get it either. But good for her for wanting to change the world one provocative child at a time. That sets a great example. The Emily Grace collection debuts on February 14th for prosti-tot clothing Thoughts???

A Muslim man in Egypt killed his wife because she was reading the Bible and then buried her with their infant baby and an 8 year old daughter.
The girls were buried alive! then He reported to the police that an uncle killed the kids.. 15 days later, another family member died. When they went to bury him, they found the 2 little girls under the sand – ALIVE!
The country is outraged over the incident, and the man will be executed.
The older girl was asked how she had survived and she says ‘A man wearing shiny clothes, with bleeding wounds in his hands, came every day to feed us. He woke up my mom so she could nurse my sister,’ she said..
She was interviewed on Egyptian National TV, by availed Muslim woman news anchor. She said on public TV, ‘This was none other than JESUS, because nobody else does things like this!’ ! , , Muslims believe Isa (JESUS) would do this, but the wounds mean He really was crucified, and it’s clear also that He is alive! But, it’s also clear that the child could not make up a story like this, and there is no way these children could have survived without a true miracle. Muslim leaders are going to have a hard time to figure out what to do with this, and the popularity of the Passion movie doesn’t help! With Egypt at the centre of the media and education in the Middle East , you can be sure this story will spread. .Christ is still turning the world upside down! Please let this story be shared. The Lord says, ‘I will bless the person who puts his trust in me.’ Jeremiah 17.
What do you guys think?
first of all i didn’t made up this story. my friend email me and I’ve been Google’ing it ok.
