im pregnant. im 18. my ex and me were only together 3 months. hes 20. i broke up with him after i got pregnant because he is lazy, irresponsible, imature and i couldnt stand to be around him anymore. for a week or so after we broke up he acted like he still wanted to be in the babys life. his mom was very rude (shes wayyy overprotective and he lives with her.) a while went by and i didnt hear from him. emailed him to tell him i was going to the doctor he just said okay thanks. a while went by he put on myspace that hes moving out of state in a couple days. i asked him over the phone he said he was moving to get a job and a car. it was obvious he only said that to make me angry or to get my attention bc he also said he wasnt sure about moving he would have to talk to his dad first. he called me selfish and said its none of my business if he moves, he dosent have to tell me things because hes not my "bff", as he said it. he deleted me from myspace dosent call. so its been months and ive gotten used to the idea that he wasnt going to be around. ive bought clothes, gone to doctors, found out babys sex, got furniture all without him. im 18 weeks now. out of nowhere his mom called today and left a message to check up on me and baby. i got used to the idea of doing this myself and now all of a sudden i figure they plan on being around? its been five months. they havent contributed anything! i dont want him in my childs life. hes not father material. he lays on his moms couch and plays video games all day. he lies about serious things for attention and i dont trust him one little bit. his mom talks bad about me. why would i leave them alone with my child? i dont trust him to not take off with the baby. do i have to let him in my childs life legaly? i dont want him or his mom around. like i said we were only togheter 3 months. i can always find someone later in life who will be a way better father than he could ever be! it may sound like im being selfish but i honestly think it would be best for the baby if he werent around. he cant just come and go as he pleases.. what can i do legaly to make sure hes not around?

Our second baby is due a little bit after our daughter turns 2, would it be ok to buy her a toddler bed and transition her to sleeping in that around the time baby number two comes? Or do we need to buy another crib?

I guess I just don’t understand why people don’t buy baby blankets like they do for adults. Adults buy thinner blankets for the warm seasons, and thicker blankets for the winter and those blankets can be used for holding your baby, wrapping them up when it’s cold out, or keeping the sun out of their eyes when they’re out.

Maybe I’m just silly. lol
I don’t mean using adult blankets for baby, by the way. I confused myself a little bit there too.

I chose a firmer mattress for our baby’s crib because I heard it should be as firm as possible for safety reasons. But now i am feeling like it’s going to be really uncomfortable. Is it safe to use a thin mattress pad, just to give it a little bit of cushion?

I really wanna throw my uncle’s girlfriend a suprise baby shower but her baby’s due at the beggining of March. It’s only a little bit after Christmas and i dont no how and when i’d plan it especially without her knowing. Also I dont no much about baby shower’s. Any ideas?

he was 9 weeks premature (13 weeks old today). started out on Neosure for the additional calories to catch him up on his weight but we think he is now lactose intolerant (I was the same way, fine for a couple of months and then WHAM, I couldn’t handle the milk). We go back to the doctor the end of the week to check him out to make sure that the change in formula is agreeing with him – which it appears to be. He’s always been a really cool, calm, and collected baby up until here recently. He started getting more and more cranky and then started spitting up and throwing up during feedings and for about an hour after his feedings, which is why I took him to the doctor…I mean, 2 mornings straight, from 6-9 am, non-stop crying and fussing…that is tough.

He is a lot less fussy now and have only had a few spits ups since we changed his formula (and lots fewer burps), plus he is taking a little bit more of the Sensitive RS than he was the Neosure. The only problem though is getting the extra calories now that he was getting from the Neosure (Neosure is jam-packed to help preemies and low birth weight babies catch up). So how can we up the calories to keep him on the growing a little quicker track that he’s been on.

BTW, was born just shy of 4 lbs and last week when we went to the doctor (had clothes on since it was not a regular appointment) he was 10 lbs 9 oz.

So back in 2009 I filed for child support (CS) and my childs father was ordered to pay 6 a month … at the time when CS was checking his employment it appeared that he had 2 jobs so they came up with 6 which I thought was a little high. In reality he had recently been fired from one job and idk about the other …. so anyway long story short the 6 was a default judgement because he never disputed the amount … they placed a levy on his account after a few months and he then HAD to go up to CS and now we are set up for court dates

My question – What is the likely outcome in court if he has no job to even pay support?? Will I have to drop it?? Will the judge order for him to pay a small amount even if its or something??

I know he has not been looking for a job and has another baby on the way

All I want is for him to help out financially a little bit … before I filed for CS I asked him for 0 which is only half of daycare! I didnt ask for clothes, food, etc … and my daughter is on my medical … I dont think I asked for much!! I even told him that we could talk about an amount he can afford and he just is not budging … so then Im like well what about 0 a month … still nothing so he’d rather 6 (whcih is already at K arrears) still be calculating than to talk to me about 0. He has no job but I do know for a fact he has income which is further upseting that I cant prove it!

Hi I am SO frustrated. I am a little bit on the larger side…but not too much. I have wide hips, but have always had a flat stomache. I have pretty much just looked fat "literally" since about 5 months. Every month, I just look fatter. This is very frustrating. I am 8 months, and nothing has fit me since three months. Not even maternity clothes. I am sick and tired of people being rude or brushing past me or cutting in line when I have a 5lb baby pushing against my bladder. I am NEVER going to look pregnant. I want the belly rubs and the attention, moslty becuase I need it now that I can’t hold my bladder or the pain on my cervix. Lol I am waitress so this is even more frustrating as it is a demanding job and people LOVE to stiff pregnant people. Anyway, I could rant on and on (I really could) Does anyone have any suggestions or hope to offer me? I am thankful I don’t have stretch marks thus far….but really???
Let me add, I realize all the cons to being a HUGE pregnant women. I am not more than 20lbs overwieght…weight is not the issue…which is what i stated. I am venting, I am homonal, so you rude people go sit on a cactus. I was looking for an educated explination, not someone else telling me too loose weight (because they don’t f-ing know i’m pregnant) JESUS!!

My husband and I have been married for almost 3 years. We have a 18 month old daughter who has to go to several diffrent therpist because she was preemie. Shes got a lot of catching up to do developmently so it makes alot of stress and work in our house.
My husband currently doesn’t have a job and is working towards becoming a police officer. I stay at home with our daughter.
My husband won’t pick up after himself. Its just simple stuff like his shoes or dirty clothes. Nothing hard just some to help me out a little bit. He doesn’t want to do anything out daughters therpist say because it makes her cry. He would just rather let her do what she wants or give in to her tanturms so he doesn’t have to deal with her crying. It not good for her.
Well today I got tired of not saying anything and I asked him to help me out and do what the therpist say because its for her beneifit. He basically sat there like he didn’t care the said he wanted a divorce. I still love him. Please help???
