my baby has some teeny tiny red bumps on her stomach and on her arms, it almost looks like a heat rash. but she also has alot of dry skin on her forehead, the dr said the stuff on her forehead was eczema and to put vaseline on her skin a few times each day and not to use scented lotions or laundry detergent. but what about the red rash on her belly? I put some cortizone gel on it tonight after her bath, but is anyone familar with this type of skin rash and how i can cure it/ prevent it?? will the eczema go away?

Putting bibs / burp cloths in the washing machine doesnt seem to be enough to get the white-yellow formula stains out. All my daughter’s new bibs have started looking as if they have been used for years! We use Dreft laundry detergent…I have also tried putting in a less load in the machine but doesnt seem to help.

i am looking for a good, gentle and cost efficient laundry detergent to wash newborn clothes with. I have read even some baby detergents aren’t gentle enough for baby’s skin and was hoping you guys could tell me what worked for you

I’ve heard of using vinegar to clean floors and baking soda to clean toilets and tonic water for windex…but is there a household product that can be used as a gentle laundry detergent for baby clothes???

I’m not due until September but I want to wash the clothes now. Is there a certain type of laundry detergent and fabric softener I should use? Some of the fabrics are a bit rough feeling and I want to soften them. Thanks!!

I am a first time mom and looking to wash the hospital clothes for me and baby, as well as the crib bedding set so that whatever baby will come in contact with, is clean and washed. I have a couple questions on a good brand of laundry detergent and hope you will give me some suggestions?
I have always heard of the famous Dreft liquid. Over where I am, at Target it is sold for 300oz at .99 and at Toys R Us the 200oz is 19.99 so that is expensive if you ask me. Someone recommended that I use All detergent for babies as it’s less cheaper and sometimes the Dreft will irritate an infant’s skin. When my hub and I attended baby care basics class, my instructor told us that any brand is fine as long as it has no scent and no dyes. I am not too sure about just any brand, so I want some of your suggestions? What have any of you moms used and what worked? I also have to do a 2nd rinse when washing baby clothes right?

So I brought my laundry to my moms and washed the baby clothes and put them in the dryer. To my dismay, when I checked to see if it was dry, there are black ink spots all over the clothes. It’s totally trashed. What can I do to save it? We’re trying milk, hair spray, rubbing alcohol and pretreating with laundry detergent and Kazaam spot remover. It’s my baby’s entire 0-3 wardrobe not to mention all her blankets and I’m going nuts because she’s only 7 weeks. Anything else? It’s gel pen ink, which isn’t the same as regular ink. Thanks!
