I’m in the process of making a Star Wars themed diaper cake for my husband’s friend who, with his wife, is expecting a baby boy.

I’m not sure of the exact due date-
however the shower is in late August and I believe she is due in early October

Inside of the diaper cake I want to hide three fun onesies (along with some other surprises)
however, I’m not sure what sizes to get?
or if I should get long sleeved or short sleeved?

This is the mother’s second child, and her first child was on the larger side.
the onesies come in the following sizes:
Newborn (up to 13 lb)
Small (14-18 lb)
Medium (19-26 lb)
Large (27-34 lb)
*I know when I had my baby shower, I got an overwhelming amount of newborn and 0-3 month clothes, but nothing larger than 0-3 months.
I was thinking maybe I should buy one small and two medium, or two medium and one small- just looking for other mom’s opinions on which size(s) to buy?

Also, we live in Colorado, near the mountains.
The weather here is very unpredictable (yesterday it was 42-degrees, today it is 83). October should be the start of winter, though there may still be some hot "summer" days in the dead of December.
So should I get short-sleeved or long sleeved? Or two of one and one of the other?

I’d appreciate other mom’s opinions
and also, if you want to, I’d aprecciate any tips on things you found to be helpful shower gifts? I’m still looking for other things to give along with (or inside) the diaper cake.
Thank you!
[This is the 5th diaper cake I've ever made,
they've always been very well-recieved as gifts
so I figure, if it aint broke, don't fix it, lol]

What size clothes should I buy?

We are having our first baby in late August 2011. We want to start buying some neutral clothing (white onesies, yellow socks etc) We were wondering what size we should start buying clothes at? I’ve heard some full term babies fit into preemie clothes for a few weeks, yet I’ve heard that some babies go straight into 0-3 months. So, how long was your babies in preemie, newborn, and 0-3 months. I don’t want to spend a lot of money on baby clothes if he/she will only be wearing them for a few weeks. Thanks for your input!

Advice to bring baby home in from hospital?

I am having a little girl she’ll be born mid-late august. I am debating on what to bring her home in and what size clothes to take for her? I am in between a one piece sleeper outfit that has a hat and socks to match, but it’s long sleeved and I am afraid it’ll be too hot for her? Or should I bring a onsie and shorts? Those outfits are newborn size, and I thought I would buy one preemie outfit.

Is a long sleeved outfit too hot for a newborn baby in august? I don’t mean to sound stupid but I just thought I would ask!!

preemie clothing sizes?

my SIL went into labor and her water broke at 24w they kept her in the hospital and stopped the contractions until she was 28w and the baby’s lungs were formed. he was born about a month ago now and wont be home until late august he is 4 pounds almost.

okay my question is. do you think by fall/winter he will be too big for 0-3/ 3-6 month clothing? they are having his welcome baby party this weekend and they dont want anything but clothes they have everything else her sister also had a baby who is 6 months old now. i have a TON of new with tag clothing left over from my son.

i have never known anyone who had a preemie and dont know if he will start to gain weight quicker, my son was born in the winter so when he comes home they will be weather appropriate but not something he could use now.

I opened a store on eBay selling infant clothing & other baby items. I opened the store in April 2007, I was making around ,000 a month from April until June 2007 when I put the settings to vacation settings until late August 2007. (My husband was in a car accident, I had to tend to him as well as insurance and lawsuits, so I didn’t sell ANYTHING during that time period) This month, I have made around ,100. I keep record of everything, I use a program through eBay and send everything to QuickBooks online. What EXACTLY do I need to get together and bring in when I have my taxes prepared? This is my first year doing this, and I have NO IDEA what I’m in for! I get a lot of items I resell on eBay, and they all have item numbers. Can I claim that as expenses? And can I just use the item numbers, or how does that work? Also, I am not quite sure how to print out all of my info once I’m in QuickBooks online edition. Any help is appreciated!
