I am 19 weeks pregnant and read in a book about picking out a peds dr to examine my baby at the hospital. But I don’t have insurance on her yet. How do you get insurance for a newborn? Me and My boyfriend are both covered by our parents insurance until we graduate college and we can’t just add her on there. How do you get insurance for just a newborn and how much would it cost? And where do you go to? Also last year I made 25000 so I don’t qualify for much government stuff. Thanks

I have a 4 year old who has had a Gerber Grow Up Plan Life Insurance policy I am interested in cancelling. I think I recall when I signed up for it, I would get some, if not all my money back. Anyone know anything about this?

I’m currently 35 weeks pregnant and I’m just wondering how to go about finding the right pediatrician doctor for my impending newborn baby. What are the steps I have to take ? And currently I have aetna insurance but to have me and the baby on my plan is way too expensive, is it possible to sign her up for medicaid or a medicaid hmo which is at little cost to me? I live in new york city.

I am a single soon-to-be mother who is also under 18. I plan to keep this baby with the support my family can provide and the money I save from two jobs. what type of insurance can cover the baby once it’s born. I am covered under my fathers insurance through labor and delivery however from then on the baby is not.
Please help.
Negative comments may boost the ego of the writer however I am bothered none-the-less so save your own time and reply only with helpful answers.
Thankyou.

My husband and I have health insurance (CIGNA), but due to the timing of our pregnancy the pregnancy itself has not been covered. Does anyone know the rules regarding getting our newborn onto our policy (she’s due Jan. 11th). I’ve seen several places that there’s a 30 day period of non coverage? Just wanting to know so we ensure her wellness checks and immunizations, etc. are covered.
Thanks!

Ok, it’s a long messed story, but anyway we don’t have insurance right now. They are still trying to process our paper work. We don’t live on a military base or near one. My 10 month old baby’s ear infection is coming back and she needs some medicine. But the doctor’s expect you to pay them today if you don’t have ins. I just don’t have that much money today. What should I do?
We have a medquick center that is open 7 days a week and it’s walk in no app. I will call them when they open this morning and see if I could just pay them a little money today and the rest next week.
Once again we DO NOT live on a military base. I know health care is free there but we are 3 hours away from the nearest one.
I took her to the emergency room this morning. Turns out she has ear infection in both ears and her temp was 103.9!

I’m thinking about getting my son into modeling, just for his infant/toddler years, but nothing past pre-school. It would be a great way to start a college fund for him, since my husband and I don’t have the resources to get a good fund going for him.
Does anyone know where I would start? Anybody else modeling their children?
My son already loves to ham it up for the camera, he travels a lot already. The only thing different is that the pictures would be by a paid photographer and not my father (prof. photographer too)
I’m not lazy by the way, I work part time and do direct sales and my husband works full time, we live in the second richest county in america, and would like to be able to put money aside for our son, other than just the money we put towards buying a good home for him to live in and diapers and insurance.
I am *thinking* about it so don’t condemn me for thinking about it, please.
second richest *county* its called marin, in northern california, not a city.
