Me and my husband are planning to buy a house and I am thinking while I am finishing up my nursing degree I am goin to put up a child day care in the day and attend nursing classes at night.

But what are the steps to put up a day care? such as do I need to take cpr and first aid certification first? Insurance? I am confused on which step I should do first.

I haven’t gone in to the doctor’s to confirm the pregnancy yet, but how in the heck do you manage all of that, when you have a feeling the father might get scared feet and run.

I live with him now.
We’ve been dating for over a year.
It was unplanned.
I’m of legal age.
and I have no where else to go if he runs.
but if he stays, even, how do you support a kid on low income and going to school?
how do you do all that AND give your child the attention it needs.
There’s no way in hell i’d give my kid up for adoption and not know how it’s going to be treated later in life.

and what if there’s medical problems?
and what if we can’t afford it?

Is there someone out there who can give me a detailed explanation of how it’s possible,
and by what resources can you get help.

I need to know what would qualify me for certain plans and insurance and discounts on things like baby clothes, diapers, formula, etc.

because I’m ready to own up to my responsibilities,
but lord knows I’m not prepared as of right now for it.

Or do I need to get the baby it’s own insurance policy before it’s born? Meaning if the baby needs newborn care or tests will my insurance pay for it?

My baby girl is leaving home for the first time, heading to college. She is NOT a healthy girl, and we already had our share of trouble with insurance companies. I heard about school-sponsored health insurances. Can that be a good coverage for her or do they have the same restrictions? What are my options? I really don’t like the prospect of her being there alone without a proper coverage.

Hi when my daughter was born I applie for a Life Insurance company called the "Gerber Life Insurance" policy. I’ve been paying it for about 2 years now but would like to cancel it. Does anyone else have it, can you please explain the benefits? or how I can go about canceling it and will my money be returned. Thanks!

I was awarded sole legal custody in my divorce in 2004. Since I provide for more than 60% of my childs care and he lives with me I have the right to claim him every year on my tax return. His father only pays 52.48 per week in child support payments and that was due to the fact that he was on unemployment. He is now working and has not brought it back to court for review. He is now taking me back to court after having his child support reduced b/c he feels that since he works and pays child support he has the right to claim my child every other year. IRS law states that I have that right because I pay for everything. I pay rent, bills, I buy groceries, I pay for school registration and other fees, I buy school clothes and regular clothes for him. I pay for his toys, I do homework with him. I pay the sitter on my own when Im working. I also have private health insurance for my child since the father has defaulted on doing so as agreed in our divorce papers. I have proof of everything that I am stating. Will an Illinois judge grant him the right to claim my child on his taxes every other year? How else can I show the judge that I deserve that right and not his father? PLEASE HELP!

I am a single father of 3 kids and looking for health/dental/vision insurance for my family. We don’t really go to the doctor as much but still want decent coverage in case I need to do so. Any ideas? Am based in Southern California.

I am a single mom currently unemployed not recieving child support with alot of credit card debt incurred when I had to start over on my own and approximatly 15000 in medical bills from emergency room bills.( I don’t have insurance). Is there anything that can help me keep my head afloat and how bad is it to file chaper 7 or 13 and what is the difference between the two?

So whats new? Here were are almost 3 years later and I have had no results. Long story short.. I had a child with my ex husband. By the time he was 6 months old, we separated then finally divorced. That was April of 07~ the court then ordered him to pay me 7.00/month for child support. Since then I have only received 1500.00. My ex has this whole thought that unless he sees him he wont pay me child support. I recently got remarried, and my husband has had to pick up the slack. I thank god every day because I struggled for along time having to work, pay daycare, food, clothes, insurance, etc all on my own. My husband loves my son, absolutely would love the thought of him being his own one day. Recently my exhusband has gotten a new girlfriend who has a kid and tells me that he no longer wants anything to do with us. I know I know.. Stupid! So the sum of it is, he doesnt pay what the court has ordered him to pay, he doesnt want to see him. So can I get his rights relinquished? Can he volutarily give up his rights? Or are there any more serious actions that I can take to get him to step up and be a dad. My attorney is quite expensive and im really trying to do everything I can not to involve her but know that ill probably have to give in. Ive gone through the local child support service to try to get his wages assigned, but unfortnatley its taking almost 4 months to get anyone to know anything on my case. I dont know. Its aggrevating. Ive got a man that wants to be a father and will do what it takes but on the other hand doesnt want to keep cleaning up another guys financial issues. My son is our world and I just wanna do whats right for his future… help!
