I’m a new Mom and my 5 week old son has a severe diaper rash. He screams bloody murder when he poos or I change his diaper. It breaks my heart! I think it may have came from the ( Diarrheah) Alimentum formula he was on. Anyone that has ever used Alimentum knows it causes very loose watery stools in infants. He was prescribed Nystatin cream today. Has anyone ever used this cream and how long did it take to clear it up. If you have any remedies or any suggestions to help heal my son’s bottom…I would appreciate it.

My daughter (18 m/o) has diaper rash ever so often she is always changed often and is allowed to run around without a diaper sometimes, but she still gets them every once in a while. When she does have them it just breaks my heart to see her in pain. I went out a bought the Huggies sensitive wipes I hope those will be gentle. I havent switched diaper brands or soap so I am not sure what causes it. What cream have you found to work the best for your child? I have the DR Smiths and it seems to work well, but am almost out and may try something different. Thanks for all your help!

Visitation rights-out of state-breastfeeding?
I have a 4 month old infant who is breastfeeding. I work from home and have been the only caregiver of my child since she was born. Her father and I seperated when she was two months old. He has hardly seen her at all. We live 15 hours apart. He has not paid child support or has sent her anything such as diapers, clothes, etc. I have taken care of all her expenses, dtrs, etc. Her father and I got in an argument and he threw us out with no money and I had to spend the night in a hotel, then drive 15 hours to my family’s house. It was very hard on me and now he is demanding I help pay for travel expenses so he can have her for weeks at a time in his state. He is not working, he is paying child support for his other daughter and is possibly back with his ex wife. It is such an unstable environment as he has emotional breakdowns, anger issues etc.

What can I expect visitation to be if set up by the courts? He insists the court will make me "bottle my milk" and force me to drive the infant halfway every month so he gets her for weeks at a time. I am so concerned because I think this is very unhealthy & disruptive to my daughters routine. As well as he has never so much as changed her diaper or got up with her at night. Can the courts force me to do this? I breastfeed my daughter every few hours at night and she is very used to this comfort, I cant imagine her being being taken away from that, she would be looking for me & crying. It breaks my heart. Can anyone put my mind at ease or is this what I am facing?

I also think it would be in her best interest if he comes to see her rather than make her drive 15 hours in a car to his house for a weekend. but he insists i will be forced to do that so i need to set up a plan with him before the courts decide and get it notarized but i dont want to agree to anything till i talk to an atty and know my rights.. but he pressures me everyday via email & text

My little girl (3 and a half months) is addicted to her pacifyer (soother). She has a really strong sucking reflex, and sucks almost all day on either her fingers, my breast or her pacifier (pacifier only during naps and nighttime). But it is starting to wake her up at night. I feel uncomfortable with going cold turkey – I don’t think I have the heart for the crying. Any ideas on how to slowly and gently get her away from this habit?

My sister is turning 17 in two days. She has been wanting a dog ever since she was five, but my parents won’t let her because our house is small, and because they think it’s dirty and we wouldn’t have time to take care of it. So dogs are an absolute no. But my sister wants nothing but a real dog. What is a good birthday present for her? She’s 17 but like… 7 at heart (looks a lot like one too. lol she never really lost those chubby baby cheeks), and 19 in intelligence (she gets straight A’s in AP classes at a very rigorous high school). Very naive, simple minded, good hearted, friendly, shy, and cares about the environment. I ask everyone but get different answers. Are 20 push ups in a row good for my age. What about 10 pull ups in a row. Don’t know if its a lot. My heart beats to fast and usually hard to do more.
I could do about 20 pushups and about 10 pullups in a row. Is that good for someone thats not in high school yet. I try to do them eachday.

I had an unexpected rapid-growing ovarian tumor and three surgeries and have had lots of medical problems within the last year which caused severe financial difficulties. We do not qualify for WIC (we have to be 100-185% below poverty in our state), I have to formula-feed for medical reasons, and I do not have family to help me.

Money is extremely tight right now, I am giving birth to a baby boy in November, and we can use all the help we can get. We still need many items for our little one. I would be more than happy to send you some coupons or other items that I have today. Please let me know at shamrocklove@yahoo.com.
