My MIL is throwing me a baby shower, well she’s acting like she is. Her way of throwing the baby shower is by buying decorations and saying "oh we can decorate with this" but not actually planning anything. So i’ve taken on the role of coming up with all of the ideas and she’s taking my ideas for her own and buying the supplies. Well i am going to have girls from the age of 18 all the way to older women in their 70′s. I came up with the idea of buying a bunch of onesies(99 cents) and having a bunch of iron on designs and fabric paint so everyone can design a personalized onesie. Also my mom and MIL will decorate a bib that is dedicated to eachother and i will be making an overnight/diaper bag that both grandma’s will use. Do you think this is an ok idea? I don’t like the idea of corny games and i’m just wondering if everyone will find this entertaining… in your opinion.
There will be more to the shower but this is the "main event".

Oh and i already found the 99 cent onesies. 100% cotten too. We have a factory outlet store that has a lot of great stuff for really cheap.

Hi my friends were talking in school today about having a baby shower for one of our friends who just got pregnant. Since we all support equal rights for men and women we want to invite the baby’s father and any of the boys we know. I know my boyfriend Jamie who is a friend of the 14 year old father would love to come and participate. A few of the girls said that the parents might object. Why would they? Oh her parents decided not to make her a nun because they don’t think she could get with the program. The baby’s father says he loves her and wants to be part of her life and the child’s life. Her parents told her that she cn still see him as long as she promises never never again until she turns 18. Also she wants her boy to have visitation on the baby on weekends (the baby would stay with his parents and during the week her parents would have the baby.) Anyway what do all of you think about a baby shower for her it would make her feel better.
My friend is 13 too NOT 12. She just got confirmed pregnant by her doctor because she missed her period and had to tell her parents how far their relationship had gotten. She thought that if she let him without protection close to the start of her period she wouldnt get pregnant. He kept on begging her to let him that way and she gave in. Oh welll!!! Oh ya, Jamie’s mom was an unwed mother too but a few years older and she’s the strictest parent you could imagine. Like on school nights he still has to go to bed at 8:30 pm. And after my friend got pregnant and everyone knew she had a heart to heart talk with the both of us and made us PROMISE NEVER GO THAT FAR!!! My parents did the same thing.
I love all your answers (well most answers anyway). I’m going to let this go to voting. My mom and some of the other parents are going to help us out in having a shower but like a few of you said its too soon so in a few more months. We hugged and kissed and cried a little but she knows that her friends are with her and love her and know she’s going to make a great mother. I told her don’t be like Jamies mom and treat him (or her) like a baby at 13. I told you like Jamie is the only 13 yr old boy who has an 8:30 bedtime and has warm milk and cookies with his mom cuddling him at bedtime. Oh welllll!! When he grows up he won’t have an 8:30 bedtime because he’ll be too busy making his wife happy in bed ME lol lol).

I would like to find a place that sells online designer clothes for girls or toddlers. Brands like Oilily or paper wings in that style. Most sites are expensive and sometimes I can find them on ebay but I was wondering if there was a site maybe a small retailer. They are hard to find in this country.

My Grandmother made them for my girls. She called then "Go To Church Babies" the baby was crocheted into the blanket and you could put your fingers in the hands or feet to make it move.The blanket then wrapped around the baby.I have grand daughters now and need to get busy! lol

My son is five and happened to tell me that he saw his friend naked(a girl she’s 6). I asked where he told me it was on the school playground under the slide(the area under the slide is a blocked in but sometimes the kids go in there).I told him to tell me everything and he said they were playing in there and she said I want to show you something and she took off all of her clothes and told him to do it to and he did. After that I heard enough and told him that what he did was wrong that private parts are private and never to show them again. But should I tell the girls mother?

We are going to a family reunion next month where the three grandchildren from my dad’s side of the family will be together for the first time. We want to get pictures done and we don’t want the children to look identical, but we want them to look good together.

Places like Gymboree and Old Navy have cute stuff for girls, but I can’t find a matching boy outfit. Another problem we have is the girls are size 12 months and the boy is 2T.

Any ideas?

I have to depend on my mil because I work I wish I could stay home with my kids but I’m unable to do so. She will only watch my son because that is her grandson my mom watches my girls. I wanted to put my son in headstart to get him used to school he is 4 but my mil had a fit and told my husband he better not let lil man go to school. She is always telling me how to run my life my house and my children she tell’s me I am a bad mom because I work. I do work alot but when I wasn’t working I was sorry because I wasn’t working it don’t matter what I do I feel like I am a sorry a** mom but I am the one taking care of my children my husband does not buy clothes pay for medical and ect he makes the housepayment and I pay everything else. Well my question is how do I get her to lay off me and inform her that she is not my son’s mother I am?????

My daughter is two just turned two. She is as tall as most 4 year old. She can fit girls XS or a 4 not 4T. My problem is the clothes are to grown for a two year old. We need the length for dresses especially but it is just so hard to see her looking like a school girl and not a toddler. anyone else have a really tall daughter? What did you do? Did you just suck it up? My big fear is when she starts school and if she keeps this up she will be in juniors clothes in the 1st grade and juniors clothes are way to slutty these days. i may just need to learn to sew LOL

According to Estimates on her hieght she will be 6 feet tall when she is fully grown.
