I remember when I was a kid, my aunt and I would go shopping just to look at baby girl clothes.

yeah all the boy clothes look like work out clothes like they are about to go to the gym! haha! or either they are gay looking! i just want some cute nice boy clothes! i like carters a lot and the childrens place. i also like gymboree but a little to pricey for me!

I’ve always been ill at ease when I see young girls wearing "big girl clothes", I’ve had friends who put their kids in dance classes, then cringed my way through recitals where BABIES were taught to "strut their stuff" in front of a crowd.
I didn’t think it was "cute", "precious" or "funny"…but the parents didn’t seem to mind. The day does not pass when several people here don’t worry about how "fast" our young are growing up…and I am wondering HOW people can allow this sort of thing, and not expect it to happen.
Performing aside, I have seen little girls (age seven tops) playing in the park wearing low riding hip huggers to show off their thongs.
Are these parents out of their minds, or am I just hopelessly out of date? I don’t understand "tarting up" our children.
A woman recently published a book called "Stop Dressing Your Six Year Old Like A Skank"…so I am pretty sure I’m not alone.

Wow…so it isn’t just me.
I have no problem with kids doing dance, and the like…I just have issues with the places that insist on making them, look like pint sized women. They are KIDS.
And as to the mom who reminded us that parents do the buying—right ON!
I have so had it with the dismissive "well what can you do?" parents who shrug, and give in. When our kids were babies, we didn’t let them play with electical outlets because they "wanted to", abd this strikes me as no different.

I was shopping recently with a friend in a high end department store, and saw these bikinis…along with the bootie shorts to match…the sizes? 2-6X.
Enough already…is it really wrong to let a girl be a kid?
My friend has 3 girls ages: 9 months, 6 years, and 7 years.
I keep them alot and i like to dress them cute when they are with me..and im also expecting a girl so i was wondering if there are any moms on here who like the same and where do you buy your bows and clothes at.
The youngest girl wears 6-9 months clothes and the two older girls wear 4-8 in girl clothes
And i like BIG PRETTY bows.

im trying to sell infant baby girl clothes…they are all only worn once maybe twice and are in excellent condition…i want to get rid of them due to no storage space
Does the T stand for toddler? How old are kids generally when they wear size 2T, 3T and 4T..? I haven’t had my baby yet and my fiance’s sister just gave me some cute girl clothes that are that size. I’m wondering if I should put them to the back of my baby’s closet for now, or if I should just put them in the basement if it’s going to be forever until she gets to wear them, lol. Thanks
I have had two girls before and it honestly never bothered me, because i like the girly girl clothes. Frilly dresses, flowers, hearts etc.
But now that i am pregnant with a boy, OMG their clothes are hideous! Does every single outfit have to say MVP sports player, OR have a car or dumptruck or something plastered on the front of it.
I feel like i find a cute shirt just to see some dumptruck or car thats hugely placed right on top of it. Its so hideous! And it just makes me realize that we are sterotypeing our childrens clothes big time. I am not asking for flowers on my boys clothes. I am asking for variety.
I am the kind of parent that doesnt like cartoon characters on everysingle item of clothing. I personally think its hideous. I think its tacky as hell. But i am having a hard time finding nonugly boys clothes.
