My son is @ 11 mo old and does NOT stop crying. All he wants is to be held, in particular, by his father (he WAS attached to my hip and has moved on to him now) He has 7 of his front teeth (top n bottom) but may be getting molars??? I give him Baby Oragel and when he is particularly cranky I will give him some baby Motrin. This morning he woke up on time, but refused more than 1/3 of his bottle, slapping it out of my hand. Once I changed his diaper and clothes, he proceeded to wail n holler till his dad picked him up, *"Magically" he was all better.
I am at a complete loss as to what to do. No fever, no rash, plenty of rest, no excessive heat or cold weather…..eats his baby food regularly, drinks bottles (morning n night, weaned him off lunch bottle now) and once in a while he gets caught up and plays happily with his toys / cat. BUT it seems that lately he is so dang pissy and moody that all I can do is plop him back into bed =(
Any ideas on what’s wrong??? Is this normal???

My son was running a 102.2 fever earlier and I wanted to know about how long it takes for Infant Motrin to start working. I gave him 1.875ml as directed and when I took his temp 40 minutes later it was down to 101. Also, how much should I expect the temp to lower?

The four fang teeth in the front, the last of the teeth to come in before the 2 year molars? Bradley is 17 months old and the poor thing is getting in all 4 canines at the same time! He hasn’t slept a good night’s sleep in two weeks, he wakes up everday from his nap with a fever and drooling and he’s is grinding his teeth constantly. He calls his medicine (ibuprophen) "satin" and constantly whines that he wants "satin" which tells me he is pain a lot (I try to only give him it at night). When did your toddler get their canines and how did they do with them? Any suggestions for helping the little guy? Orajel is useless and he hates frozen washclothes.
Very Proud Mommy: I ALMOST felt stupid…..until I made sure I WAS right about calling them canines.
