Can this be normal for a baby, it doesn’t seem to bother her and she has no fever. Can this be due to weather. Doctor said just watch it. Don’t know what that means. I can see it more right after a bath, and sometimes I can not see anything at all?? Normal for baby skin???

My son is 11 months old and started to go to a creche when he was 9 months old. He has some rashes on his face, neck and back which some say is heat rash cos we live in the tropics but the normal cures with prickly Heat powder has not helped. We have also used Fungusol lotion and powder but no visible changes have been seen. What do I do now. Doctors don’t seem to know what it is, Two doctors now think it is measles but without the other symptoms of fever, cough and redness of eye it cannot be said to be measles.

Skin rash on my baby, what do I do now?

I know this isn’t where you ask medical question…so let me make that clear.

My almost year old developed small red bumps along his hair line, under his eyes, behind the ears, on chest, and around the diaper area yesterday morning. No fever.

I’ve been trying to eliminate all possibilities:

Food alergy – I introduced a small amount of cow milk the day before the rash popped up, so yesterday I did not offer it again.

Allergy – For the first time I bought scented wipes, so I stopped using them (although I don’t wipe them across his face, so I don’t know if that’s the cause.)

Allergies – The pollen has been incredibly bad here, the streets/cars are covered in a yellow dust, so we are staying indoors today.

Heat rash – I walk with him every morning and it has been warmer than normal, but I dress him appropriately and keep him shaded the majority of the walk. I’m keeping the house cool and dressing him in a very loose onsie.

The rash is not improving though and is more apparent when he wakes up from bedtime or a nap. I called the nurse line and since there is no fever, they won’t set an appointment until next week.

What am I supposed to do now? Do you have any clue which of the possibilities above it sounds like? Besides what I’ve done, what else can I do? It doesn’t seem as though it bothers him much, but it is a bit scary to see those bumps everywhere.

I only go to college classes in the morning and will be baby sitting my niece in my parents house. Her mom is going to start working part time and her dad works full time. I will have her from 1:00 pm to 5:30 pm when her dad will pick her up.

I have almost no experience with caring for babies and usually when she starts crying I get her mom. She is also teething and I just saw her with a really bad fever from it and I was like "they can get fevers from teething O_o"

She is very cute and sweet but I need some advise on care and Ideas on how to baby proof the living room, kitchen and my room.
She is 9 months old and very active. I will probably be doing homework while she naps.

My toddler has a history of having febrile seizures. He has only had seizues when his temperature has been high. This weekend he had two seizures. One when his temperature was 100 and rose to 102 in 15 minutes. He had another seizure today but he had no fever at all. His temperature was unusually low though. It was 96.3 F. It has stayed between 96.3 and 96.7.

My daughter is 6 months old.

First off, she slept in til noon today which is pretty unusual. She went to bed at 9 or 9:30 last night, which is her normal bedtime. Usually she wakes up at 8 or 9 am.

When I went in to get her this morning, she didn’t even want to get up in the first place. I left her alone for about 20 minutes and then went back in and got her up. She acted completely fine until-
I gave her her normal 6 ounce bottle that she has first thing everyday.

As soon as she drank the last drop, she vomited everywhere. I wouldn’t be surprised if it was the entire 6 ounces. So then I gave her some rice cereal like I always do in the mornings. Then she took an hour and a half long nap, which surprised me since she had slept in so late.

So I went and woke her up again later, fed her some jarred carrots, and then she pukes all over herself again. Not near as much this time, but still, it worries me. She’s never been a big spit-up type baby. Has been on the same formula ever since she was a month old…
So then I go and get her some apple juice because I figure she must be getting pretty dehydrated from getting sick two times already. Usually she LOVES apple juice, but really didn’t care for it today.
What I don’t understand is, she’s been acting like herself all day. Happy, laughing at everything, playing with her toys as usual. But she’s been excessively tired and barfing up every other thing I feed her. AND NO FEVER WHATSOEVER!
Then she vomited all over herself in her car seat when me and the family were on our way to a restaurant. So I took her into the bathroom and cleaned her up and changed her clothes. Then 45 minutes later, while in the high chair, she vomits, what looks like a waterfall! she was gasping for air, there was so much vomit coming out. After that, she STILL acts as if nothing is bothering her! I don’t get it!
She has no fever, doesn’t feel cold at all. Hasn’t been fussy at all. Just can’t keep anything down. I’m trying to keep her hydrated with a little bit of water and apple juice here and there. What do you think??
I know it’s a little late to add this, but I did call her pediatrician and ask-a-nurse before posting this. They both told me as long as she didn’t have a temperature, that she should be ok and to just keep her hydrated. But, I just wanted to ask someone to see if anyone had this issue with their kiddo before. I appreciate all the people that were understanding and gave me advice. To those who completely bashed me, I’m a new mother and have been told by many many people that you don’t have to rush a baby to the ER just because they get sick. Turns out she was just having a bad reaction to her brand new tooth that just popped in the other day, which according to her pediatrician, is not at all unusual. She’s completely fine today, no vomiting or diarrhea, and seems to be feeling a lot better. You don’t have to be a paranoid psycho to be a good mother.

2 month old wont stop crying…?

She just wont stop, and it’s not just crying, she is screaming. I have tried everything I can think of to help her. She doesn’t want her bottle, I have tried burping her, holding her in different positions, changing her, swaddling, unswaddling, a nice bath, gas medicine, colic drops, clothes on, clothes off. I have checked her for any scrapes, bumps, bug bites. Please, if any one has more suggestions, please help! She does not have a fever, I checked, three times. Her Dr said she may just be overly tired. So how can I help her fall asleep? She was a preemie, so her adjusted age is two weeks, but chronological age is two months.
