My sister is having a baby and has been given a lot of things from hand-me-downs. She ended up with two cribs and offered one to me since I am expecting in March. My boyfriend really wants to buy all new stuff for the baby since its our first, and wants to nursery to be all new and nice. Not sure what i should do, it would save us some good money.

i am looking for a fixed side crib with a metal mattress support i have already found and made a list of fixed side cribs most of which are graco brand but am having truble finding out if they have a metal mattress support can anyone help i will be purchasing at walmart if this helps…. PLEASEEEE HELPPPP!!!!! am getting very annoyed by this whole process

its the same mattress as the ones that are inside of cribs,then it converts to a toddler bed.im trying to find some cute bedding for it,but when i search toddler bedding twin size comes up,would that be the same?
would a twin size set be super huge on a crib size bed?

I’m 22, and pregnant with my first child. I’m in a good situation education-wise, and I have a wonderful partner who is also college educated and is very excited.

Everyone around me is excited about my child and I love them for that. Its the first grandchild on each side of the family, first great-grandkid to two set of grandparents, the first niece/nephew to 7 aunts and uncles. In addition none of my close friends have kids. All this excitement has started some crazy shopping sprees. My sisters and aunts have pretty much outfitted the baby for its first year, and bought bibs, blankets, and pacifiers. My friends are excited to have a reason to go out and buy ‘cute’ baby clothes for the first time.

On top of this I get IMs and phone calls to go look at 2ed hand strollers, cribs, and carseats every other day. I feel like all of the cheaper things (like clothes) are taken care of for me, and because I’m young everyone assumes I should save money and buy the expensive things 2ed hand. I feel like I don’t get to pick out anything for my child!

Thats depressing to me. I had looked forward to picking out outfits for the baby and a neat stroller that suited my personality. Now I feel like I don’t get to pick out anything, or get to do any fun mom-to-be shopping. It makes me really sad to have that taken away from me, but I won’t mention it because the clothing is already bought and I do honestly realize how ungrateful I sound.

Diapers? Holy sh*t. I just searched online and + for diapers. I didn’t know diapers were that expensive. Lmao
Bottles of food/formula?

And I work at JcPenney’s so I get discounts there.. clothes, giftables, cribs and such.

I don’t know what to get her… haha

do all crib mattresses fit in all cribs? If I am buying a mattress before buying a crib, should I be worried about the dimension? what are the things to be noted while buying crib mattress? which one is a good store to buy crib mattresses?

I’ve seen that most of the crib recalls are cribs that have drop sides and the wooden tubes that support the mattress. Which cribs out there do not have a drop side or wooden tubes to support the mattress? That is fairly reasonable on price.

hi there, my first question is that, I knwo it wont be for a bit yet, but my son is 7 months old, and im going to be re-doing his room in an army theme while my husband is deployed. and i was wondering how much longer he is going to need his crib? if I should just keep it or get one of those transitional cribs(if i can wait id like too) and then also I need tips for decorating his room. We looked at cribs for the first time today and I am left with tons of questions, as you can imagine. My main one right now is(I’m sure there will be many more)…. Is there a specific type of crib that allows baby to remain in the crib until they reach the ability to sleep in a toddler bed or do they all have this quality? How do you know if they have this quality, because this is what we are looking for.

This is my first if you can’t tell. lol So I really appreciate your comments.
