and only 8 more to go! lol

i just had my baby shower today, which was nice, i got a few great things and new i feel like i can start really buying.. i didn’t want to get a bunch until after my baby shower so i didn’t get doubles.
here is what i have

baby bed
changing table
dresser
baby bath seat
2 hooded baby towels (will i need more??)
baby bouncer/rocker with soothing vibrations
about 8 0-3 month outfits
4 pairs of baby gloves
4 pairs of baby booties
2 baby hats
an extra warm baby suit (he will be born in january)
4 receiving blankets
and 4 nice warm snuggly blankets
and of course i have newborn car seat!!

i know i need to get some socks, and some 3-6 month outfits, some lotion and shampoo.. i don’t want to get a bunch i don’t need but i don’t know how well prepared i am.. suddenly with the baby shower over i am feeling very nervous that i don’t have what i need to bring this baby home! so suggestions on necessaries?

I am not having a baby shower and i was wondering how much should i spend on her. My nursery expenses are already taking care of i need just alot more of the basics.

I was just curious about when other mothers started taking their babies out in public. My daughter is three weeks and one day and I am going to take her out tomorrow to Wal-Mart for the first time.
And will putting a thin blanket over the car seat or stroller help?
I see lots of mothers doing this and was just wondering if it helps at all?

At what age or size should a child use a booster seat instead of a car seat?

I will be flying with a 6 week old baby in about a month and I would like to use my car seat on the plane. However, most airlines do not give discount infant fares anymore. Almost every time I fly there are empty seats (always the same route). If the seat next to me is unoccupied, would I be able to use it for my baby?

I am due october 8th, its real soon & i know babies can sometimes come before, i am starting to worry because i dont have all the things my baby needs ready, and theres so much out there but im not sure what you really need, and what are just luxuries.

Do i really need a waterproof crib pad?
Do i really need changing pad covers?

I can go on for ever so please tell me what i really need, so far i have lots of clothes i got alot of that as gifts, so i woudlnt worry about any clothing, i have more than enough blankets, i also have the crib with mattress & crib bedding set. I have bibs, burp clothes, bath essentials, diaper rash cream, wash clothes, hooded towels, stroller, i still need a car seat so what else do i need?

I am traveling with an infant on a 5 hours flight. Britax Baby-Safe Sleeper is approved to be used as a car seat on all cars. Will I be able to use it on a plane given that I purchase a seat for my child? Anyone knows if it is FAA approved?

I have a baby boutique and would like to add; baby bedding, blankets, burp cloths, car seat canopy’s, and nursing covers. I have never used a sewing machine before and no nothing about sewing. What kind of sewing machine is good for beginners, and what kind of stitches do I need to use for such items? Any help would be appreciated.

I am having a baby in November and am trying to save money where ever possible. My in laws don’t want my buying baby clothes used but I see nothing wrong with it. Is it okay for me to be buying most of my baby stuff used? Besides the car seat, is there anything I shouldn’t buy used? Thank you.
