I have a baby shower coming up in November. Its simple to plan games and stuff but, not when majority of your friends are guys! I don’t know how to make it man friendly and not bore them with tooo cutesy things etc. And just wondering what other moms had or have planned for baby showers. Need ideas!!! So if any one has suggestions, it would b greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Me & my mom bought 12 plastic palm tree wine glasses from the party place to use as a centerpiece for my baby shower. the baby showers theme is jungle & i have no idea what to put in them or how to make them look nice as a centerpiece. any creative ideas? thank you so much for your help!

I’m due in August with my little Lily Jacklyn! I’m starting to do some shopping and I’m going to be registering for my baby showers and things soon and I’m wondering…should I really worry about buying or registering for Newborn sized clothes or should I just go ahead and get 0-3 mos.? The doctor says she’s measuring big already and all the babies in our family have between 8 and 10lbs at birth. This is my first baby but I know with my nieces and nephews they never really seemed to wear the newborn clothes and I just don’t want to spend money on something that she’s not going to wear. So any advice will be appreciated! Thanks!!!

i am due in november with our first baby and its a boy!!! yaya!!!!
the problem im finding is clothing. there just doesnt seem to be a good or even a big selection of clothes for baby boy’s. ive only been able to find onsies for boy’s but no outfits or even pants. its getting really frusterating. im having 2 baby showers comming up, and i know ill probably get clothes there, but im not relying on gifts. i want to be prepared in case i dont get anything.
ive tried target, walmart even regular dept. stores like sears or jc penny’s and there still doesnt seem to be any selection. if there is its all blue or sports. i dont mind blue or sports, but we are doing his room in a teddy bear sports theme, and i want him to wear a varity of colors, and prints.
if you have a boy, did you run into this problem?
anyone know of store with a good selection of baby boys clothes?
oh, im from california (central valley) grrrr. its getting a little frusterating!
ive tried babies r us. im even registered there. still dont have a large selection either. there is no gap or old navy in my area.

Just wondering if its proper etiquette if I throw myself a shower, if none of my friends do it. Or, if I can at least help.

Are baby showers or diaper parties the norm in your area for people expecting a child after their first? Most people I know consider it tacky, but we seem to be getting more and more of these type of invites from co-workers (most 10 or so years younger).

Can’t seem to find anything other than diaper cakes. I want this to be really unique and cute! I need any ideas, being it is hard to find anything hot pink and black themed for baby showers.
