My sons room is going to be monkey themed, green and brown. I was planning on doing the baby shower this theme but then I saw a sports baby shower and I fell in love! my husband LOVES sports and I think its totally cute. but I would feel kind of weird since it has nothing to do with anything on my registry or anything at all really! what do you think?

A close friend recently had her baby shower and afterward I asked what she still needs and she said she doesn’t have a baby bag. She specified that she has a diaper bag already, but not a baby bag.

I have been invited to a baby shower for a friend who is having her second is as many years. People I have known in the past didn’t really have showers after the first, of if they did, they didn’t set up a registry and ask for gifts, instead they would ask for diapers or food for after the baby, but not 0 crib bumpers ect. But, it’s been a while and I was just wondering what the current etiquette is.

I have a baby shower coming up in November. Its simple to plan games and stuff but, not when majority of your friends are guys! I don’t know how to make it man friendly and not bore them with tooo cutesy things etc. And just wondering what other moms had or have planned for baby showers. Need ideas!!! Me & my mom bought 12 plastic palm tree wine glasses from the party place to use as a centerpiece for my baby shower. the baby showers theme is jungle & i have no idea what to put in them or how to make them look nice as a centerpiece. any creative ideas? thank you so much for your help!

i just had my baby shower today, which was nice, i got a few great things and new i feel like i can start really buying.. i didn’t want to get a bunch until after my baby shower so i didn’t get doubles.
here is what i have

baby bed
changing table
dresser
baby bath seat
2 hooded baby towels (will i need more??)
baby bouncer/rocker with soothing vibrations
about 8 0-3 month outfits
4 pairs of baby gloves
4 pairs of baby booties
2 baby hats
an extra warm baby suit (he will be born in january)
4 receiving blankets
and 4 nice warm snuggly blankets
and of course i have newborn car seat!!

i know i need to get some socks, and some 3-6 month outfits, some lotion and shampoo.. i don’t want to get a bunch i don’t need but i don’t know how well prepared i am.. suddenly with the baby shower over i am feeling very nervous that i don’t have what i need to bring this baby home! so suggestions on necessaries?

When did you start setting up the baby nursery and buying stuff for baby? How about the baby shower, when was yours? I am only 5-6 weeks so I have plenty of time, I just wanted to get a general idea of a time line.
