Three of my friends have baby showers this summer and I have never attended one before. I recently got married and all 3 of these friends attended my bridal shower and wedding, and they each spent around 0 on gifts. Should a baby shower gift equal around the amount that they spent on my wedding gift? Or should I be spending more or less?

I was asked to me a godmother for my best friends soon to be born daughter. I am throwing her a baby shower (with the help of her mom) and I was wondering what an average dollar amount was to be spent on the baby shower gift. I wasn’t sure what is too much and what is too less.
I can afford anything. I really have no limit or budget. Yes she has a registry.

I want to make a diaper cake as a baby shower gift and was wondering how much size 1 or 2 disposal diapers cost? I know they are expensive, I just want about 60 or 70 diapers.

If someone gave you a diaper cake at your baby shower and it had store brand disposable diapers in it would you be offend?

Have you ever received a baby shower gift and sold it? What do you say when when the person who bought it for you asks about how baby likes it? or If it’s a big item IE swings, travel systems,carseats, bassinets and they ask about it while visiting do you tell them you’ve sold the item? Just curious?
I’m asking because I see alot of people advertising for things they received at a baby shower on craigslist and I was more curious if alot of people do this? I never did, but I also didn’t get duplicates or anything like that.

If you already gave the expectant mother a baby shower gift are you expected to bring another gift when you go to see the baby once it is born?
