We kept him in the crib as long as we could, so I guess itms time to move on to the toddler bed! Not sure I am ready for him to have free reign of the house while we are sleeping! How does one achieve peace of mind knowing he could be unattended somewhere in the house? We have baby gates that are screwed into the walll and hard to open, but he still could access a lot of things. Any tips??

He’s also very rebellious and when we say "NO" he only wants to do something more and laughs at us if we hit his hand.lol… anyway we are moving to a duplex and I’m just so scared of him with the stairs… I plan on getting baby gates but how do I teach him that’s a big "no-no" without him trying it anyway just because I said no?

All those rooms are off limits as they are very untidy. Baby gates are useless, they’ve figured out how to take them down.

So what did you do when your kids learned to open door knobs?

I have trying to make sure that everything is tidy before going to bed but he still finds something to chew up and spread through the house. He really likes to go into my daughter’s bed room and steal her stuffed animals too. I have tried baby gates, shutting doors ect but he always manages to find something!!!!! How do I break him of this?
I keep him inside at night when my husband is gone for protection.

First, we can’t even get them to stay in the room. Second, we can’t get them to go to sleep. They play and play with each other for hours. They have been waking up with dark circles under their eyes, as they don’t sleep in later the next morning as you would think they might.

I don’t know what else to do. We have put up baby gates to keep them in, but they still climb out. Our two year old is now temporarily sleeping in the walk-in closet (with the door open) in our master bedroom with us, but clearly this is not a permanent solution. Advice is greatly appreciated :0)

Our walls won’t hold it to mount it because it is too heavy. We thought about baby gates but nothing to attach them to where the TV sits (plus they just climb them anyways). I need a safe way to allow my twins to watch TV in their room without them breaking it. And by the way, I have tried the discipline thing but they are just curious 2yr olds. Any serious ideas are welcome.

The only way is a repellent but I need one, if possible, that cats are immune to as I don’t want to repel my cat from my room. Thank You.

He’ll break stuff and throw everything in the floor. He’s just a mess and I can’t keep up with him and get anything else done. SO I was putting him in the play pen. He hated it and I don’t blame him. He’ll scream the whole time he’s in it. So I got a couple baby gates to keep him out of the kitchen and sometimes in his room. I’m still getting the same reaction. Right now, he’s in there playing with toys and crying at the same time because he can’t get past the gate. Will he eventually get used to being "in jail" ? What can I do to keep him content while I get my work done around the house?
His father thinks being in the play pen or room by himself or atleast without me is good for him (in short periods) because it will make him more independent and also develop his relationship with his brother and sister. (they play with him alot while im not) Oponions?
