I’ve been buying 0-3 month baby clothing from places like Baby Gap and Mothercare and it’s actually quite expensive. I know babies aren’t cheap, but a lot of people are having a go that I’m spending £15 on 3 vests that they will only be able to wear a few times! This is confusing… Where do you buy newborn clothes at ‘normal’ prices then? I don’t really like buying things online, so what shops should I be looking in? (I live in the UK)

I just found out I’m having a boy. I’ve put off shopping until I knew the sex but now that I know I can’t seem to find any "normal" baby clothes! Places like Baby Gap have black onesies and really adult-like baby clothes which is okay when he’s older but while he’s a newborn I would like to find just some cute pastel, or striped, clean looking classic clothes. I don’t really care for all the Carters style with ducks and frogs either. Any suggestions? Online or stores?
Ducks and frogs are "normal" for some, but I find them tacky

I need to know how baby gap 12-18 mo size compares to carters 12 mo. Is it larger or smaller? My son has just outgrown carters 12mo and I want to bid on an ebay item that is ending today for 12-18mo clothes. However, I’m not sure if they will fit and I don’t have time to go find some gap clothes to try. Any toddler moms know the difference between these two?

I’m not talking about 6 to 10 year old stuff, The things I’m selling are only about 3 or 4 years old. I’ve got some baby and toddler clothes from Gymboree, Baby Gap and Children’s Place that are fairly new, no stains on them and still look great. There are also several cute pairs of shoes that were never even worn. I’ve also got a toddler bed with the mattress, a little tykes kitchen and a few VSmart electronic toys that work just fine. Some people I talk to say to price the clothes and toys at a buck or two, but I just can’t imagine doing that for stuff that originally cost more than 20 bucks. Is 4 or 5 bucks too much? How about the Toddler bed with mattress? The mattress is a Sealy Comfort bed, one side for infants and one side for older babies. Would 20 bucks for the set be too much? Thanks in advance for sharing your advice. -Mich

My neighbor just had a baby, a sweet baby boy. She’s a single mother, possibly struggling financially and I gave her an almost brand new high chair. My son must have sat in it three times all together. Its clean and looks brand new. She gladly accepted it and thanked me profusely.
The reason I gave it to her is because I’ve been cleaning my closets and I came across it. I felt bad about throwing it away so I offered.
I have a lot of clothes from my toddler and they’re basically all brand new. I bought good brands such as baby Gap and as you all know, that quality is real quality.
I have a lot of really cute outfits that look brand new and are not stained at all.
My question is, do you think she’ll accept the clothes as well as she accepted the high chair. I don’t want to offend her in any way.
I offered the high chair because its an item that isn’t worn obviously and it something impersonal whereas clothes are personal and some parents have certain feelings about clothing their kids in other kids’ clothing.
Do you think I should offer her the clothes as well?
I would really love to help her out. I’d rather give HER the clothes than donate them. I would of course still donate them if she refused them.
What do you think?

what are the measurements of a baby gap recieving blanket?
I plan to use them to make my own.
Thanks!
Gap.com does not display the dimmensions of the blanket. If some one has one and can measure it that would be great.

I just bought my baby some of the cutest shoes from baby gap that coordinate with an outfit sized 12-18 months. I just guessed and bought size 3, I am thinking she might be bigger than that at 12- 18 months. Thanks
Beth-she is 5 months old right now, I bought the outfit and shoes because it was too cute to pass up or else I would have done the obvious and tried them on her and if they didnt fit I would have taken them back….
