It was beautiful and really easy to make. My sister in law is now pregnant and I would like to make her the same blanket but I lost the print out I had of it and have had no luck finding it again online. I remember it was a double crochet then you would skip one and double crochet again. This was basically the entire blanket except for the end which a white rope went through. In the picture the blanket was pink. It would be really great if someone could help me find this.

One part of the instruction says: sc in the next 5 ch +

I think this can be interpreted as: single crochet in the next 5 chains…HOWEVER, I can’t not figure out the purpose of the plus sign…It is included in the instructions…just like the mathematical sign. Please help! Thank you :)
This is what it says:

Set-up Row: Beg in second ch from hook, sc in second ch and in next ch; skip 1 ch, sc in next 5 ch, * work 3 sc in next ch, sc in next 5 ch +, skip next 2 ch, sc in next 5 ch; repeat from * across, ending last rep at +, skip 1 ch, sc in last 2 ch; turn.

Mary: Yes this book does have a list of symbols in the front of the book, but this symbol is not included. That is why I am a bit confused.

I still have it now. I sleep with it and carry it around the house with me at home. Ex: if I’m in my room, my blanket is in my room, if I’m in the livingroom, it’s in the livingroom. Etc. Also, if I go to a friends or my boyfriends house, o take it with me. I’m not ashamed or anything. I mean, all my friends know and my parents do too. My boyfriend jokes about it sometimes but he said he thinks it’s cute.
It’s going on 17 years old and it’s getting quite raggedy. So it definitely no goin to be around much longer. The thought of not having it is upsetting. It’s the only thing I have to symbolize the time when my parents were together. They got divorced when I was 2. But I guess that’s why I’m so attached to it.

Is this common? Or is there something wrong with me? How can I try and not be so clingy to it?
